Dm500 problems

I have been helping a friend put a newer image on his box. He had Nemesis 2.2 release 4.2.0, 07.07.2008 i think on box.
So i was using teamviewer and used dcc to update the image to Nemsis_4.4_CCcam_2.3.0_by Midar_sat all looked fine erased flash and written image on dm500.
But when he went to turn on it was bricked in a way. So i know he needs a null modem cable and i can do it via dream up but the question is what image should i use that has cccam built in?

If you have FTP access to the dm500 you could try flashing via telnet.

To flash an image using Telnet

This method will only work with a .img image file.

. Rename the image file to backup.img
. FTP the image file to the /tmp folder on the dreambox
. Telnet to your box and paste the following command:

cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot

This is one of the best images Commando 14.6 DM500 Release, it doesnt have CCcam pre-installed, but follow the guide in this thread HERE - Commando Neutrino 14.4 for DM500s.

flashing dm 500n with dcc hmmm not good idea!yes with dreamUP.You can look on dm500 image forums for images and buckup images and you will find one.for exmpo DM500 OpenPLi-Turko v20 Metalic HD Backup...

Thanks Master G for prompt response. Yes will try that and no access to box via telnet anymore so looks like a dreamup job. Will follow the guides cheers buddy
