Don`t choose hard disk if the IPK is in /tmp, to install from the hard disk you would need to FTP to /media/hdd.
If you have a USB drive, place the IPK on the drive then insert into the ultimo, it will recognise the file and give an option to install it.

Cams can be configured using Softcam Manager! (This should be available in extensions shortcut! > Press Blue button on Remote and a panel should flick up with softcam manager!
Select the Cam you want from there.....when switching Cams ensure that only one is active and the other disabled - can cause problems!
Do whatever you feel is easier....however if you copy ipk files to /tmp file on receiver you should see them in Setup > Vix > Manage local Extensions (They should auto show there?)
Any Enigma2 add-on should be ok in theory however some are image specific e.t.c!
TSPANEL is a must and most addons on there are separated into Image/Receiver sections!

Yes, you will be able to install all enigma2 plugins on the ultimo, there are compatability issues with some plugins on certain images, so its always best to have a backup image if something goes wrong.
have a read about various cams - all down to personal choice, setup, and how paranoid you are with regards to backdoor rumours!
anyway if you forget the password, ftp in to your receiver - then go to /etc/enigma2 - there is a file called settings, if you look there it has the password configs, including the correct password.

config.ParentalControl.servicepin.0=xxxxIf you want to change this, before editing, from a telnet session while logged in, type
init 4then after saving the amended settings file, type
init 3to restart your receiver, and your password should then be amended.
