cant get smartgo to be seen??

    if its on 1.4 then i wouldnt think its that problem just wanted to check! so no need do the update part

    And of course right way up ? with the smargo sticker and card side with *** logo only on same side lol if you know what i mean!

    ok mate, i just reinstalled the whole think all over ago, sorry for the delay


    now with the card out i get a light on the reader, with it in, i get no light?


    the smartgo sticker is on other side


    i have just re done files and got this again:



    this is following the guide here with test account

    post or pm oscam.server file mate lets have a look at that and see if any problems!

    i have just put the smartgo back in my et9200 xtrend, with code:


    SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/ttyUSB0 6000000


    picked up the card ok in cccam, so the card reader works there, so one part tested

    placed this time in the usb onboard not the 4 on a pci card


    in lsub says is on 003:002 as well as now the light stays on after setting it in the smartdrivers to 3.67


    but on the oscam web if it says now

    Right so we have checked the following


    Its not a Fake
    Changed Oscam.server file to similar to my working one
    Firmware is 1.4
    Card right way round!


    None of this worked? did you try updating libusb files as 1st part of post #15


    Install:
    sudo apt-get install libusb-dev



    Upgrade:
    sudo bash -c "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade"


    Thats all i have left to suggest im afraid! it must be a software issue and something not up to date/installed on server!

    Have you restarted Oscam in Webif?



    why have you got a 5 for the S in SLY??????????????????

    Yeah mate there's a block on the 3 letter word so where i put anything 5ly or 5ky change for what it should be lowercase!


    try that and restart and report back.....in no joy give below a try and report back!


    2nd just try changing line

    protocol = smartreader
    to
    protocol = mouse

    did as requested, but in web if now, for some reason it removed the reader all together

    For which one or both!


    What happened when you put 5ky in correctly? like it should be? Anything Change?



    I presume when you put protocol = mouse in it removed reader?


    Running out of things to try now buddy!

    nothing when i used the 3 5lY correctly,
    yes when i put in mouse, it has removed it from the list and wants me to add a new one


    also now light does stay on all the time on reader

    Just going over posts


    Where you put changed usb device restarted oscam and page not found - You have to give it a few/ten/twenty seconds e.t.c to reboot! it won't come back instantly!


    Also Green light should be flashing like Wifi when in use - if/when we get there


    Have you got a powered USB hub laying around......some people have said this fixes problem but clutching at straws now!


    With everything installed and updated correctly, using correct configs e.t.c i cant see why this damn thing ain't connecting to server

    could be linux kernel but long shot


    login to server as root


    type uname -a

    If anything, the powered hub causes more problems with addressing the smargo.. That could be the same problem that the PCI Hub is causing..

    Smargo worked and is working perfectly on Debian, Lappy with USB!


    Just mentioned as i came across something on the net!


    Well its not the Linux Kernel as that is same as mine.....must be software/config related!


    You could try the hub and see if you get any different outcomes?
