Viasat help for oscam

  • Hi ya i was wondering if you could help me, I am trying to get a Viasat Sweden card working in Oscam 1.20 #7180. The smargo reader reads the card ok and i can see all the entitlements but once i try to connect to it through cccam all im getting in the logs are that the channel is not subscribed here are my reader configs

  • try theses they worked for me just change your settings to smargo and add the correct box key

  • Thanks for replying but i have tried that and still no luck, all im getting is channel not subscribed in my oscam logs so i must be missing something. Just a quick one, if i had the wrong box id in would i still get the entitlements in oscam web interface

  • Did you reboot or at least stop and start your cams after making the changes? It might seem obvious, but you would be surprised how many times its overlooked :)

  • Ya i done that and its been in the reader now for a couple of days and all im getting is bad ecms, I havent had one good ecm yet and i have tried changing the settings of the reader and user but still no luck, I have read somewhere that the new Viasat card cannot be shared is this true because i have one with a blue arrow

  • post your configs - oscam.conf - oscam.server and oscam.user, and post the nlines you have in CCcam.cfg hash out anything sentitive (of course any peer accounts and readers not needed to be shown either!)

    If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

  • how did u convert your boxid did u take your serial from the bottom of the box or did u get it from the menu .i got mine from the menu on the box and converted that . not sure about the new card mine was the one with the green arrow .have u tried both 093E and 090F ?

    I converted my serial number from the bottom of the receiver but this seems to be ok because i have done the same method with other cards and they work fine, I have never worked with a Viasat Card before, was it this hard to get the old type card working in oscam or is it my version of oscam maybe

  • I have a viasat Sweden card though so I wonder if it's the same with mine. I would find it hard to believe because everyone would have that type of card but it seems that a few people have had the same situation and have fixed it, so of anyone has found and fixed this problem I would appreciate it if you could please share it, thanks

  • hi, friend first u cheq direct cccam , than u see card oen, than u read oscam,or newcs, and remember system rfeboot good look

  • I have tried that and still no luck, I'm wondering if this problem can be solved at all, there must be someone out there that had come across this, would it help if I changed the smargo reader to a different type

  • It's a server Ubuntu and its running oscam, do you have any useful info to solve my problem, I have post all the details of the server earlier

  • i have a latvian card running in a dm800 fine its 093e it says start in green and has a small blue arrow on it number starts with 016 .i had a swedish card running fine aswell before that .. is that your 7th card on the server ?

  • It's my 5th and I'm glad to hear that you have viasat and that it's working, my card has a blue arrow and the word viasat is in green aswel, would you be able to post up your configs mate cheers

  • Hi Robert - just on a side note a couple of questions - you have 5 locals? What locals do you have? - Also you have this in your user account;

    so of these 5 are locals, - the rest peers? - this indicates you are exercising much control on your server by giving each reader a separate group, not that unusual, (I personally wouldn't go further than cards in separate groups and all peers in one group) because you can control who gets what - but then you contradict this by the next lines;

    where above you are locking down that client to just two caid/idents!


    so slightly confused here...
