  • ok im just sick of oscam and just guna have to go bk to cccam and cancel espn if i can get this sorted.

    In oscam 192 page the ecm times are around 230ms and went i have a few boxes on they freeze n glitch.

    I have been reading post for days and trying thimgs and still no luck.

    I`m using debain 6 with autoinstall oscam 120.

    Reader smartreader, in my oscam.server i cant put the mhz or ther card doesnt read, if i put say mhz 480 it say somefing about no matching reader and doesnt read card,.

    So how can i get the ecm times down to 80ms like they meant to be ? do i need to install or update my usb drivers ?

    I even tryed a usb 2.0 hub and it made no different, maybe u have to use a certain type.

    Any1 no what could be wrong, heres my oscam.server ?

    [reader]
    label = *** uk
    protocol = smartreader/mouse
    device = /dev/ttyUSB0
    detect = cd
    cardmhz = 600
    #mhz = 600
    boxid = blank
    blockemm-u = 0
    blockemm-s = 0
    blockemm-g = 1
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    emmcache = 1,3,2
    group = 1
    lb_weight = 101

    and i have a server.bak its more less the same as above

  • Are they freezing to other devices on your lan? Wierd/wireless? ISP? Which router?

    mhz = 600
    boxid =

    is the correct format for these.

  • yes they are freezing on my lan to, but worse at my brothers house, i have a netgear router and virgin 30mb, i didnt write anything in boxid+ i just meant i left it blank, and foe the mhz if i dnt blank it out it doesnt read card at all, it says (0963&000000/0000/D7AB/62:C7F1): rejected group (120 ms) (0/0/0/0) (no matching reader) , its not the router or isp, in oscam 192.168.2.6:8888 its taking 230ms to read card and thats with 1 box connected, if i goto my dm800 192:8888 page it reads at 80ms and ecm times on my boxes using the dm800 sit around 130, 150, so theirs something very wrong but dnt no what
    dreamuser

  • In your local network ecm times are lower for shure.In my opinion the value of 230ms is not that high to cause your peer that much freezing.

  • and ecm times on my boxes using the dm800 sit around 130, 150

    Hmm.. 130ms to read is not "that" bad.. Could be just your reader / server beeing a bit slower than others.

    What is the network latency to your friends box ?

    Do a 'ping <remoteip>' and check the latency...

    Also i agree with satmate, 200~275 ms shouldn't make *** UK freeze.

  • that much freezing, i dnt want any, i didnt get any when i had cccam installed, how can that not b high, with just 1 box the ecm time in the box is arounf 230 to 250, when i connect ten boxs its over 6, when the boxes are not local the ecm are in the 1000s, i tryed to watch the box the other nite and the picture broke up even min, my dm800 reads the card at 70 to 80 ms, is their any way to bring dwn the card ecm times, i have 2 hard drives with to different versions of oscam and both read ecm at arounf 220 230, mayb its a firmware or software problem with the usb driver

    • Official Post

    If this is a smargo you are using on a debian the device = is set wrong, also mhz = & cardmhz = should be set on the smargo with the windows update utility, these parameters in oscam are for receivers and don`t work for linux pc servers...

    You will need to telnet to debian with this command lsusb

    You should see something like this [ Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd 8-bit FIFO ]

    This will give you the usb port the smargo is using, then edit the device in oscam.server ( device = 001:002 )

    Delete the server.bak file, its a duplicate file that isn`t needed and may cause issues for you...

  • Well,

    Lets get into detail then...

    Some questions:

    - What Oscam version do you run exactly ?
    - What hardware do you run exactly ?
    - Post full oscam.conf / oscam.user / oscam.server / oscam.dvbapi
    - Post loglines showing startup (initialisation)
    - Post loglines showing a few local reads, and remote reads with timings\
    - Post the result of command 'lsusb' on your server
    - Post the result of command 'ping <remote peer>' from your server
    - Post the result of command 'ping <oscamserver>' from your receiver

    That will give a good starting point to analyse.

    Also, please try to use the '.' key more in your posts, it will make your posts a bit more easy to read and understand.

  • ok sorry will do and the card only read at 120 wen its rejected group, when the card is working, its around 220, ok im using.

  • Have you tried an Omnikey Cardman 3121? You can get them off eBay for about £8.

    They are supposed to be one of the fastest readers from what i have read.
