Cruzer Fit & Black Hole Cross EPG Issues??

Hi, anyone know if their are issues using Cruzer fit usb memory stick with black hole images on VU+ Solo?
I have a 4gb & a 16gb. Having real issues with EPG.

1 minute it can see the USB, another it cannot.
Never been able to get BH working with CrossEPG.

Worked fine on VIX.

Anyone had similar issues?
Or am i doing something stupidly wrong?
ive followed the guide from here, on how to configure crossepg. set it to /media/usb etc etc...
I can see it downloads the epg.dat file, but it ever seems to appear as a epg.dat, stays in compressed form, may even be incomplete.
also get wierd issues where as i said, it wont see memory stick anymore, and if i goto mount devices, it will just green screen on me and crash !

now this is 2 memory sticks, both Cruzer Fit ones. anyone else with issues?

BH EPG is fine, now and next. also tried CoolTVguide EPG, that works ok.
just i prefer crossepg... annoying. as i said works fine on vix.
Just tried another brand of USB stick, and same thing.
it will green screen on mount devices. then after reboot it will be fine.
I will check EPG Settings and all ok.. wait a bit, go back in, and its set to internal. really weird.
Think im gunna have to go back to vix if i cannot solve this.
