Hi, all just recently upgraded to the latest firmware, from http://fbox.ferguson.pl/en/updates/ in the hope i would have more flexibility with the menu...
But i found Kodi produces a black screen, and plex doesnt stream smoothly any more.

I would like to roll back to the previous version. anyone know if this is possible, and if anyone has a previous firmware to install?

stil no idea how to change the icons at the bottom, only use afew apps, kodi, plex, youtube & netflix would be nice to have these at the bottom. yeah tried google of course, and youtube. i use the skin which came with it, didnt know you can put others on, again not much info about how/if you can do this either.

Hi, this is driving me nuts, how do i customize the main menu. I want to put my own favourites at the bottom of the screen.
Is that possible?

Hi the F5 has both Composite & HDMI out on the back, does anyone know if the box outputs to both outputs simultaneously?

BH EPG is fine, now and next. also tried CoolTVguide EPG, that works ok.
just i prefer crossepg... annoying. as i said works fine on vix.
Just tried another brand of USB stick, and same thing.
it will green screen on mount devices. then after reboot it will be fine.
I will check EPG Settings and all ok.. wait a bit, go back in, and its set to internal. really weird.
Think im gunna have to go back to vix if i cannot solve this.

Hi, anyone know if their are issues using Cruzer fit usb memory stick with black hole images on VU+ Solo?
I have a 4gb & a 16gb. Having real issues with EPG.

1 minute it can see the USB, another it cannot.
Never been able to get BH working with CrossEPG.

Worked fine on VIX.

Anyone had similar issues?
Or am i doing something stupidly wrong?
ive followed the guide from here, on how to configure crossepg. set it to /media/usb etc etc...
I can see it downloads the epg.dat file, but it ever seems to appear as a epg.dat, stays in compressed form, may even be incomplete.
also get wierd issues where as i said, it wont see memory stick anymore, and if i goto mount devices, it will just green screen on me and crash !

now this is 2 memory sticks, both Cruzer Fit ones. anyone else with issues?

I have a omnikey which i replaced to try, changed to the correct device, but not iscam says device not found, so currently searching on what else i need to change in the oscam config files..

Just wondering if their are any issues setting up on vmware server?
installed debian6, and used my config files from my successful server build with the help of master g.
obviously changed the device to the correct config as per lsusb

I think oscam is correct, as i dont have any errors.. it lists tier info, with expiry dates..
Same with entitlements, i will show tier info with start/end dates.. the information is meaningless to me at the mo, and couldnt find a screen shot of what it should look like, but im guessing its all ok

I removed the SERIAL READER lines from the CCcam.cfg file now. is there an example of what the CCcam file should look like with my setup.. to be honest i done a lot of trial and errors trying to get past the card reader problems i was having.

after lots more researching it seems i have a conflict :
usbfs: interface 0 claimed by ftdi_sio while 'brltty' sets config #1
i removed this, by apt-get remove brltty. rebooted and now i get CARDOK[9 Entitlements] on oscam..

but cccam still not seeing the card, even thought i added :
SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+ to SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB9 smartreader+ in the CCcam.cfg file.

not sure if this was the right thing todo, if anyone else had experienced this, please let me know.

is my smargo card faulty?

OK here goes.. Great forum, lots of info and tutoritals, lots of hard work gone into these forums, so thanks for it all.. But im stuck, so
after reading lots of posts over the past few days, and trying different "hardware" here is my problems.
I want to setup a server for myself and friends and relatives..this tutorial seemed the best and easiest for my needs.
I install debian (with smargo reader + sly card in USB port... wasnt sure if this was a necessity or not), and the auto scripts and the webservers work fine, on both 8888 and 16001
i download the sly UK Oscam+CCcam2.1.3 config files and ftp them across as per the How to : Oscam Server or Cardreader with CCcam2.1.3 S*Y UK IPK guide
now im stuck really. not sure how to create the clines and if i need to add them to the CCcam.cfg or the OScam.cfg or both...
Other problem i have is with my card reader. do i need it on a specific firmware? do i need to configure it? and how do i check its working...
I looked at the Smargo tutorial, and added the serial reader line to the top of the /var/etcCCcam.cfg file (used USB6 as i guess mine is on usb port 6 or is it USB0)
I ran a lsusb and found the card to be on 006:003, so added that as a device to oscam.server, device is found but produces errors.

everything seems simple and understandable, till using the card reader stage...
Read posts about updating the smargo, others saying its not needed...
But baffled as to what todo next.
Is my Card broken or need downgrading?
Any help or pointers appreciated. !!
