Carmine,
Just create a free account, it actually says "or 1.99". with the free one you get a couple of dyndns to use before it says you need to upgrade.

Cheers Guys,
Think I may have to register with them, do i just create one or do they offer me one ?
You create one lad..
what else do i need to tick on ie service type etc etc
Its going to be on old pc that i wont use for anything else.
Just basic, you don'd need anything else.
Just create a dnydns with a name you want in front of the dyndys bit.
Then choose the "use current ip address" or something similar to that (assuming you are logging in on same external ip as server).
Rich.
so just tick for host ip address, where it asks for ip address just type in what is written on page which says which is my current location ip address ???
You can type it in, but normally there is a button that says "use current ip address" or something similar.
Rich.
just done it kept wanting to sign up for years subscription but just un-checked it.
what next ?
just tried to configure network automatically and would not do so do i now go for manual configure ????
Carmine, you would have probably been better getting a dm500 or similar. Don't want to sound too negative, but it's a bit like buying a 900cc motorbike and not knowing how to ride a push bike yet or what the pedals are for. Honestly, doing some reading will really help. I am sure the good people here will help, and so will I, but you need to read about the basics, its all here m8.

You mean subnet mask?
Easiest way to find out is to go
Start
Command (win7 start search cmd)
Type in
Ipconfig
Or
Ipconfig /all
You should see your subnet mask
Normaly
255.255.255.0
How are you getting on with this now?
