is there anyway of getting out of set up and checking wireless connection ??
-
As multipack says. I would move the server next to router and use a LAN cable. Or visa versa. Or get a long cable. You can mess about with the wireless card later.
-
no, it will just cancel the install. Is there no way you can go wired? What you could do is download the cd version rather than the net install this will carry more drivers that might work with your card. Its worth a try.

Btw I think multipack is saying no to the cancel option, not to my post ;)

Where could i get this version from ?

I'd say move the tower mate and run a hard wire to the router from it..
And if it works then you could go looking for the other version!
Wireless may not be the best option for a server anyways mate!

If i`m going to try ubuntu instead of debian is there anything more or less between them channel wise or is it a matter of being more user friendly ?
Also how do i go from half way through debian to starting new one, i mean when i start pc tower still has all debian software on there, do i press F1 or is it just case of going back all the way to the beginning or system restore ?? -
