Oscam not unscrambling other sats

  • I have moved from cccam to oscam since changing my S**box to an Amiko Alien 2 box running enigma2. I have entered the settings below so that I can connect to the server and unscramble channels on 28.2e. However, for some reason when I go to pay channels such as the usual footy ones on hotbird, the channels stay scrambled.


    This is what my current oscam.server files reads like:

    Now being all new to this, as far as I know that caid = 0963 means S**. Does this above mean that it's telling oscam to ONLY unscramble S** channels and not the others? Or should I be looking at other settings in other oscam files?

  • caid = 0963 is sly_uk on 28.2e.


    is you want to clear other sat channels you need the correct caids for the sat. (and a share)


    for example, sly italia = 093B0000;093B SLY Italia (13E)


    if your friend has other caids on his server he has most likely grouped them,


    but at the minute you are only clearing 0963

    ... then this would also give me the access I would normally get? When you say 'grouped' them, do you mean like this...

  • as it seems like its your friends server he would need to set the access in the oscam.user.


    if he has different caids on different groups he may have grouped them, ie. slyuk = group 1 slyit = group 2.

    he would need to give you group 2. but don't know his setup so don't take this as gospel.


    on my server I have slyuk as group 1 and setenta/boxnation etc as group 2.


    when adding a user in oscam.user I assign the user to what group they have access to. group 1,2 = both setenta and sly. group 2 = setenta only. you get the idea

  • All I can tell you is that when I was running all this on my other Slybox F5 (using cccam) I just installed a basic Cline and everything just came on! When I was replacing my Slybox F5 with this Amiko Alien 2 he told me he was going to put me on mgcamd instead of using cccam. So now when I boot this box up into 'Spark' I actually get the channels. But as I wanted to run on enigma2 (using oscam) I seem to have this issue? So there is something that I've got to do at my end, and I just don't know what it is! lol.

  • worth asking what groups his caids are on, or just take a wild guess and add some

    I know seem to be getting all those lovely channels, but I also seem to be having massive glitching issues. I don't know weather it's the poor weather (although that has subsided) or whether it's this setup I'm using?


    Is using the above okay, or would it cause issues on scrambled channels?

  • Just ask for another C line. Just because the box is running OSCam it doesn't mean it cannot use a C line with OSCam.


    My nBoxes and one of my Gigablue use nothing but pure OSCam and all three boxes work fine using a CCCam Cline. You have to format it in such a way that oscam understands the C line but it works in more or less the same way.

    If your friend has only given you the one line, i wouldn't have thought just by adding several groups would work as the server your connecting to would just keep connection and disconnecting as you were only given one line, not several.


    Just by adding the extra groups won't make it work as newcs doesn't work like that. Just ask for a C line again and use that instead. Unfortunately having to use OSCam is one of the many joys of owning an Alien 2 :haha:
