think 3d is free on sky uk if you have sports.
just need to tell them you have a 3d tv.

Sky have a stall in my local shopping mall showcasing 3D. The guy there said if you subscribe to everything (?61) then you get their 3D channel for free. I watched the 5 minute preview with the glasses on and thought it was just incredible. Much better than expected. But sod ?61 lol.

you can buy glasses all over the place...i prefer to fill mine with cider...hehe

rocco my m8 got that deal and is well happy with the tv..
but he sold the blueray on ebay to get some money back.
if you get the deal when you get home phone the shop back up and say these a pair of glasses missing they send u 1 out for free....worked for him..

I think u need to tell them what type of 3d tele you have. I read some where that sky will be supporting the 2 major versions but that might be old news.

I think it's the same tv signal for both standards.
One just has active glasses and the other has glasses like you get at the cinema.
The TV does the work.

Sony glasses are very comfatable but its not something you can wear for hours watching tv, not bad for the odd film/match.

Just a big expence for the odd film, ok if your getting a new tv and pay a little more to have that feature but not worth getting a new tv just for that feature in my opinion.

i am shareing a 3d channel so you might be able to get that
