if the fan on your Duo is excessively noisy i'd say there is something wrong with it, both my Duo's ( Duo LE and the regular Duo ) are barely audible when the fan is in operation.

if when in working demo is barely audible as pheonix ....very good tests gives this receiver.

The fan is very small & I cannot hear anything.

I would say its too small and doesn't get rid of the heat that the tuner produces :-(. Apart from that its a great little box
