    Well this is a hot topic right now. Since you have been putting your card in your sly box regularly, check if there is an extra digit at the end of your serial number..


    I think from memory its:
    Services 0 3
    on your sly remote


    If the last number is in brackets, your card has been paired to your box and im afraid thats the end of it with oscam as the new pairing method has not been cracked and might not be for a long time to come.

    What version firmware is on your smargo? Did you follow the link to Tens tut in post #11 to confirm this and get the firmware to 1.3.

    I did try following that guide but it isn't as clear ive downloaded the smartgo smart reader v103 but for some reason when I open the applications it says no smartreader found reconnecting even tho the smargo is inside the usb port detected as usb serial port but when I press the update button same message about no smartreader found

    I might have a bit of time m8, leave it with me... Have all your server IP Address, usernames, Passwords written down with putty & winscp on your desktop.. Also have your user pass * port no's for cccam/oscam written down..


    What Auto Install did you follow?


    Have you got TeamViewer installed and ready to go?

    Thanks thatfellow for taking the time out to have a look at my settings, could you let me know if I need to reorder that sly card or if my progger needs replacing :-) cheers

    Yeah m8, im just googling it now, from what I can see, even if the card was paired, you should still see entitlements in oscam..
    You are going to have to use the smartreader 1.3 windoes app that i sent you to check version & update to at least 1.3.
    Unfortunately I cant do that by teamviewer.
    What you said earlier about the device not being found when you attempted it earlier, pull it out and connect it as fast as possible when that happens then write 1.3 firmware immediately, that worked for me back in the smargo days..


    I never got on with Smargo's, they let me down quiet a bit.. I have 2x omnikeys now and they have not given me an ounce of trouble..

    I cant seem to upgrade to v1.3 as when the application loads up it says smart reader found on com 1
    when I press update the whole software freezes



    how would I know if the cards paired already or if my smargo is faulty ?

    I don't know why the cards having an error activating
    can someone please shine some light on this, I can see from pressing dmesg that the smargo is a v1.6.0
    could this be a reason for there not being any entitlements ?

    You have too many service id`s in oscam.services which will crash oscam and give high ecm times, delete this file if you don`t use it..

    Run the command lsusb and show us it`s output, then post the rest of your oscam configs..

    It has oscam pre installed & configured for 0963 and we will be able to check if your card is OK. I had a very similar problem with smargo and it turned out to be fried..


    If you want, I will teamviewer in and backup ur dm500 install above image, u can insert card and we can check out entitlements etc..

    Very true, And the only one you use is SlyUK so you can delete all other sats from services and select slyuk and it will do the same thing or you can just forget about the services file because the way you are using it, the caid = 0963 in your reader does the same thing

    hi thatfellow ive flashed the dreambox with the image you said, do apologise for taking so long,
    also sly sent me a new card today I haven't put it into the box yet :)
    how can I tell if this smargo is a fake or real

    I've opened up the smargo and it doesn't seem to be a fake it doesn't have the MUP on the card reader :) thatfellow can we check if the card works with the dream box then ?
