Dm 800se hungs with cline but stable with fta

hi mates,
please my dm 800se clone works perfectly with fta channels
but hungs seriously with cline
please what is the possible cause of this..

A guess would be the server you are using is overloaded or the ping is high.. Test the ping time, if it`s over 140ms it`s too far away from you to be stable..

Check CCcam info to see what hop are you getting on the c line.. You need hop 1 or hop 2 at least for it to be stable viewing..

what am trying to explain is that it hungs completely,the only solution is to unplug and plug it back,it hungs as a dead person..lol

We need more info then, telnet the command top to see how much memory is used / left, post your image, version of CCcam and configs..

You can try to debug CCcam to see what the problem is, Debugging CCcam ..

first and formost,the cline is from a family friend...which works fine on my dm500s except for 800se
the telnet command top gives

please since am using CCcam as client can i still debugg?

You can still debug even if you are a client.. Are you using the C line in both dm500 & dm800se at the same time ?

Look in /urs/bin/ for the CCcam binary, for example it`s named CCcam213, then change the command line like so;

First stop CCcam in telnet with this command;

killall -9 CCcam213

Then start CCcam in debug mode;

CCcam213 -d

Watch the log for errors..

Open pli in my opinion is the best image for dreamboxes but have you thought about upgrading to 3.0 as it is available for your model.

Do you remember what image was on the box b4 you used open pli or was this its first flash..also is the box official or clone

I would also use an older version or at least try an older version of cccam as a test.

I seriously think its a component malfunction...box hungs again and have to remove power source and place back

Sounds like a corrupt image to me, components would usually affect FTA also.. Backup configs and reflash..

I agree..backup cccam cfg and i would also go as far as to say that its best to install official dream software first to eliminate any rouge software that may have been installed on the box in the past(if any)

Also the cccam version you installed could have have came from anywhere.

My advice

Dreamup(serial) install official software(erase flash during process)
test it
Dreamup again and install latest open pli for your model which is currently 3.0

Install cams from pli servers too//you can also use mgcamd for your cline btw

Should be nice and clean after this and rid of any bugs that may be inside!

I have tried a thousand and one images but problem still persist,its a clone.....when am watching fta box is stable and fine...could stay on for hours but i soon as i use CCcam/cline/internet box
freezes in about 5 mins,and nothing could be done..remote will not respond,the only option is to put box off and on

Mate as a quick test...try a factory reset//then download cccam or mgcamd via remote from the open pli servers..what worrys me is the 1000 images you have tried..lots of images have timebombs in them especially for clones for dreamboxes.

If you have the time follow what i said in my previous post and i think you will be fine//you are on the right track using open pli on your box tho but where did you get that version of cccam?

Its gonna come down to your bootloader dude if you know this..afaik all open pli images work on dreambox clones but it is at the users own risk//i think you are best to get original software on that box to kill all possible bugs first and take it from there.

Even try an older version of cccam from the pli servers(2.1.3 or 2.1.4) after a factory reset

Also make sure your cccam.cfg only has the cline in===nothing else
