  • Can anyone tell me how to format the HDD in my Vu+ Duo (running BH 2.0.6)?

    I have tried via Menu > Setup > System > Hard Drive > Initialisation but i get the following error: Unable to initalise the hard drive. Error: Creating partition failed.

    Is there a way to do this via telnet and if so can someone advise of the commands?

    Thanks

    Yes there is. Try this below

    1 = mount
    2 = umount /media/hdd
    3 = mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda1
    4 = mkdir /media/hdd/movie

    Whats the model of your hdd and has it ever been formatted before in a similar box.

  • so have you tried following the commands?

  • Hi,
    I now have my HDD up and running again on the system. I removed the HDD and plugged it in to a PC and USB booted to gparted then re-configured the HDD. Now seems like it is back in the box and reading correctly. The problem I have not is that my box is going to Green Screen when I try to do most thing and it is telling me....IOError: [Errno 28] No space left on device.
    Any ideas how I can clear up the space on the box so I can force re-install the plugs so they correct files are re-installed on the HDD?

    Thanks

  • got the backup blackhole image 2.05 on my duo, and 1tb internal hdd, when i switch the box off by the mains, the following day i have to initiate the hdd again, any ideas why this is

  • Is the HDD mounted correctly?

    Press the blue button twice on your remote, then select device manger, in here look and see what the hdd is mounted as, it should be showing as media/hdd

    If not then press the red button and mount it as this, then do a full restart.
