recording to a vu+solo with harddrive

    please can somebody help me please have formated my harddrive and mount it media/hdd then down load epg data which works great but when i record anything it changes the channel to recorded but they is nothing there later when i go to watch it ?

    Press menu/setup/system,
    If you cannot see the recording paths there then change the setup mode to expert as in the pictures below.




    Save & reboot the box, once restarted recording paths will be visible under menu/setup/system as below.




    These settings are for recording on network mount, adjust yours to your hdd path.

    What type of format for HDD, is best for VU+ Solo
    ext2 or ext3 ?
    I have read that ext2 is faster then ext3, is this true?

    To be able to see recording paths menu you must first go into customine and select expert, reboot and the menu will be there.
    What i did was create the folders movies, recordings & timeshift on the hard drive then mapped the paths. Below is a screenshot from my vu+ solo with external 1tb hdd.





    I imagine setting your duo up would be exactly the same.Hope this helps.

    I would like to know how to record on the hdd using vu+ solo black hole. When I record the program and I go to see the recorded files everything seems to be in order and i would be able to watch the recorded files, however I when I unplug the hdd and re-plug it I get a message saying "No displayable files on this medium found" and then I would have to record again and I get another message "No hdd found or hdd not initialized" when I would have already initialized it in the beginning. I would like to know what I can do in order to record properly? Please can someone help me?
