Hello all.
I have a question about Oscam. Everybody writes about Oscam and CCcam working together, but is that nessesary? Is it possible to run Oscam alone? I have a VU+ Duo and two local cards 0B00 and 090E. Is it possible to connect to Oscam with a CLine or does it have to be a Nline?

You can run oscam alone and you can use a cline for client you dont have to use cccam also

oscam can handle cccam clients, for me thats the best way.
no cccam needed, oscam can read the cccam protocol

Some people use CCCam for its simplicity. OSCam is a good emu when used on its own but if its not setup correctly it can cause ecm flooding when it connects to a CCCam server. A lot of people use CCCam for these reasons.

Hi again. Well Everything is working now except that i do not have picture on my server box (VU+ Duo) Do i need cccam on it to connect to oscam, or should oscam do it alone.
Im using Openatv image the newest build. I have installed the oscam 7505 for this image.
so its working as a server but not getting picture ?

If you want to use oscam alone you will need the basic configs with dvbapi enabled to view it on a receiver.. Use the attached file for this..
Convert your N or C line with CCcam to oscam converter tool.. Add this converted [reader] to oscam.server..
back up your files in tuxbox/config and replace them with these and add cccam protocol and port you want in global thru webif and restart then add your users this will run your box oscam dvbapi user and password admin and port 4000 for webif this will be the fastest opytion if you still have troublrs ill go on team viewer later for you if you like
