Just another quick question!
I have the Blackhole image installed on my dm800 as I though that this would be the best for epg.
I have downloaded the latest epg and it has installed fine, my question is is there a way of making the interface more "informative" on the screen. Mine comes up with now and next, then I will have to press the blue button to see what is on after that etc.
Is there a way of getting the interface to display what is on for say the next 2-3 hours (much like the Say UK interface on the digibox) as my other half complains when she can not see it all in one screen:62:
Thanks again for any help.

This may be of interest to you, coolman tv guide.

IMO this is the best epg around, i used it myself as aprevious DM800 owner, very customizable also look at the multiquick button plugin so you can launch the epg by pressing a key of your choice.

Download Cool TV Guide! Invaluable front end and very customisable!
Version 4.0 has just been released as well!

Can't get better than 3 endorsements at once!! :51_002:

Thank you again.
I will give this a go tomorrow. -
Could anyone give me an idiots guide on how to install this?
I am on a steep learning curve right now:beat_brick: -
Extract it and follow this guide here, How to - Enigma2 dreambox ipk files installation. Let us know how you get on buddy.

Ok installed using DCC. It says that it has installed fine. Turned the dreambox on, what do I do now?
Thanks -
Hold the blue button for a few seconds to bring up the extensions menu and coolman tv guide will be there.
-
Its started doing a full channel scan for some reason! Not sure what happened there but I will let it scan as some of the channels that I added are out of date. Will give it a go again once the channel scan has finished!

OK I have downloaded and installed the channel list and I've installed the cool list. I can press the blue button and I get the cool TV guide:20_003:
Is there a way I can get the guid up with a single button press? Does the quick button plugin work on the dm800?Also how do I install the picons and make them work with the guide?
Sorry again for all the questions! -
When you install the multiquick plugin it automatically assigns single red press to cool epg.
-
To get picons working on coolman tv guide press menu while the guide is open. Manually change the picon path to where you store your picons.
-
I've installed Multiquick button modified for D.E blackhole images.
I press the red button and nothing happens apart from a small box at the top of the screen with a line across it. Is there something else I need to do?Also is there somewhere specific that I should ftp the picons too? Or do I make a folder for them?
Thanks again -

Once You`ve installed multi quickbutton a reboot is needed. Press green & start multi quickbutton plugin, check to make sure red button is the default for coolman tv guide.
Folder usr/share/enigma2/picon will show your picons automatically in coolman tv guide. But its not recommended to store picons in flash on DM800, best place is on a usb stick.
FTP your picons to USB stick and change the path for picons in coolman guide to /media/usb/picon. -
Plugin working now!
Could I put the picons on the installed hard drive. I have just bought a 500gb disk and will be installing it tomorrow? -
The problem with having the picons on a hard drive is that the drive needs to be constantly spinning for the picons to show. Sometimes the picons will show sometimes they wont, this is why USB stick is the best option.
