I've been using private trackers for many, many years now: BTN, PTP, TC, W.CD, Bib, MAM, SCC etc.

You've pretty much everything you need there! :thumb:

I've given up on Usenet for the minute....there are still a load of album downloads I'd like that are only available on Usenet (or magnet links) but I'll get them at some point...

I've been a heavy usenet user for years but in the last while I've gotten into the private torrent websites and wondered if anyone else used them?

The big ones are generally hard enough to get into...the likes of HDB, PTP, BTN and other top sites nearly impossible without a lot of work!

Any other fans? Any favourites to look out for?

I'm obsessed with w.cd at the minute...so many 24bit downloads to be had and my seedbox is crying under the weight!!

Why not continue to use your Netgear?

I switched to BT today and just reconfigured my Netgear for BT's settings! Took about 5 minutes and my move from O2 to BT meant only 30 mins downtime!

hi guys i have ordered bt sports but still got no entitlements yet my oscam updates the card fine just wondering if i have to do any ting to oscam thank you if any one can help

When did you place your order? My entitlements updated the day after my order...all channels clearing fine via oscam!

It does look like a very nice box after owning the openbox x3....I am in the USA at the end of this month I wonder if I may pick one up a bit cheaper over there?

You wouldn't get a Vu+ box cheap in the states tbh...they're Korean and they're much more popular in Europe!

You could buy a load of decent US items, sell them when you get back and buy a Vu+ box with the profit though?! :moneygrubber:

can someone explain why i cannot find anywhere in settings to change the LNB settings i have looked everywhere but cannot find it. because at the moment when i set a recording it records but won't let me go to other channels. the others are greyed out. so i am assuming only one LNB is set right and the other one isn't i did see it somewhere a while ago but since i put on the VIX o/s i cannot find it... thanks again

Try Menu --> Setup --> Service Searching --> Tuner Configuration

you can setup each tuner from here...

Have a look at a Vu+ Duo riddlesden8....you should be able to pick up a second hand one for something around the £150 mark now the Duo 2 is out!

You can add an internal or external HDD or indeed stream and read / write programmes from your network pc etc...

Great box, very easy to use, no major learning curve and it outputs an excellent SD and HD picture!

I can get them but your channel list is probably out of date! You can do a manual scan on the frequency stevejo has mentioned or wait for your favourite channel list provider to update!

im assuming your using raid config on that beast with 40TB

I don't actually! I just do 1:1 backups...RAID is great in a server environment but this to me is more full proof just in case a couple of drives fail at once!

    (Sorry for the late reply!!)

Exactly my thoughts - it states the £10,000 8 month loss to sly, which implies that this loss is down to loss of subscription charges that would have been gained if the people who shared with them had otherwise subscribed to sly. Would these people have subscribed to sly if there wasn't an alternative? Maybe not - so firstly, how can sly suggest that this is a loss? Secondly, there is no mention of profit gained by those prosecuted, so were they actually payservers at all, or were they just helping out their friends and family by sharing their card?

indeed Muso! 25 people at £50 / month....We could all do that with family and friends if we really wanted to....is this the start of prosecuting the little man?

I think people really need to be confirming (at the very least) their peers don't have Sly broadband....

The problem is your 'address 109.255.xxx.xxx' line...

it should be 'address 192.168.15.xxx' where you choose an IP address for your server on your local network!

You then just port forward traffic from your router to your local server....

You need to setup a external DNS with someone like DynDNS eg. fulgas.dyndns.info which points to your 109.255.xxx.xxx address

Your broadcast address should also be 192.168.15.255

Make sure you edit the /etc/resolv.conf file and enter your nameservers -

    i.e. ‘name server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx’

Finally...if its still not working, make sure your DHCP client has been removed - sudo apt-get remove dhcp-client
