What image are you using and do you know how to set the box up with an IP address?
-
usin vix 2.2 back up{sly ready1}is the ip add the same as the 1 i use to strem to laptop.if so ya i know dat
ps i mean same no as vucc
-
You can setup the static ip address either within the Vu+ by Menu > Setup > System > Network > Device Setup > Adapter settings and change Use DHCP to no.
You can also setup a static ip address for the Vu+ in your router settings.
You will need to open a port so people can access your CCcam server, look at portforward.com for details on how to open a port for your router.
Either add your no ip hostname details to the router or use the no ip update client for keeping your server online.
Remember as you are VIP you have msn and teamviewer support, so if you get stuck dont hesitate to ask.
Let us know how you get on buddy... -
just had a look at the portforwarding site der,do i actually have to purchase the software or is der instructions sum wer on manual forwarding.either way,am i gona need da credit card to set dis up
-
No purchase necessary, post your router make and model here and i will post the direct link within that site..

cool.huawei hg556a.cheers

The standard CCcam port to open is 12000 but dont use this as its well known to hackers. Go for a higher port number like 50000. Whichever port you choose dont forget to change SERVER LISTEN PORT: in your CCcam.cfg to match the port you just openned.
-
thanks for dat mate.i tried following the steps but when i enter the ip add.into browser i get differenty options than are shown.im as far as the port redirection in nat. but all the fields are empty.shown in the guide is a set of im guessin pre configured settings.
-
Change these port numbers to any number you like, like the suggestion i made 50000.
-
k i think im done with that,it wudn let me go with 50000 so used 50500.i used that as both source and destination start and end port, wud dat be right, now wer exactly do i find cccam.config.
-
You will find it in Vu+ folder /etc. After you have changed it, goto canyouseeme.org and check if the port is open. If its not, you may need to reboot the Vu+ and possibly the router for the port to be properly openned.

man i dont know wats wrong wit me,i cant find no cccam.cfg file cept the 1 for the clines.this is via filebrowser on box
-
That is the file you need to edit buddy, at the top you will see;
SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
Change 12000 to 50500 and save it.
If this info isnt in the CCcam.cfg then extract and ftp the attached file to folder /etc and add your c lines. I`ve editted the server listen port for you.. -

You may wake up with a masters degree but will never find this file through the boxes filebrowser, you need to use an ftp programme such as DCC. Once you have this installed on pc you will find & be able to edit the cccam.cfg in the /ect folder as Master G said.
