Manually Creating a Swapfile on VU+DUO/SOLOWhen I do a swap file do I change USB to HDD if that is what I use to store back up ect
Then, set up a linux swap area
Code:
mkswap /media/usb/swapfile -
Use a usb stick Chris, swap file performance is far better this way.

What I can't get my head round is I have a HDD plugged into the usb at the back of my Duo so you want me to use the front usb point and put a usb stick in?
Can I ask what does the swap file do?

It adds virtual ram/memory, so gives more stability and optimizes your receiver.
