Found it in with the home media file.

i think it is in var/tuxbox on E1 images mate,going from memory from E1 days lol
Thanks m8 but found if I downloaded the new one to var/etc and rebooted and did a rescan the new channels came on. So sorted now.

could also be that IP has changed..... check connections..
in the folder DCC you will see .ini , rightclick to edit with notepad and you will see your last password there..What a star you are that worked thanks.

Just try root/ no password or root/ dreambox
Yes tried that M8 but it did not work going to have another go at it when I return from work tonight but thanks.

All done now (I restored it in menu/backup menu/blackhole personal backup) only problem now is it won't accept my password in DCC?

Help required please I have backed up my Blackhole 2.0.2 Image to my HDD a while ago now my box has crashed how do I restore my settings.

Trying to do a back up of my personal settings (menu/backup Menu/Blackhole Personal Backup) but when it gets to plugins it crashes, any idea guys how to get round this?

Unless you can upload at 6-7mbps this won't work as you are trying to stream the picture at the full bandwidth and even then your download speed may not be enough. You need to transcode the stream to make it something that can stream over the web. The guide is here in this thread somewhere

I also have the slingbox app downloaded but that picks the picture up ok.

Switch off your Wi-Fi on your phone and stream over 3g. This is the way I tested mine out :thumbup:

Hi M8 turned Wi-Fi off on my HTC Desire HD it let me change channels but no picture or sound the App I downloaded was VU+ Player

Tutorial - Grab A Screenshot Using Telnet
Most users will hardly ever need to use the screenshot function of the E2 web interface, but as someone who does almost daily i have found occasionally it does not want to play. So here is a workaround giving better results using telnet should you ever need it.
To take a screenshot using telnet we use the grab command, here are the options
Usage: grab [commands] [filename]command:
-o only grab osd (framebuffer) when using this with png or bmp
fileformat you will get a 32bit pic with alphachannel
-v only grab video
-d always use osd resolution (good for skinshots)
-n dont correct 16:9 aspect ratio
-r (size) resize to a fixed width, maximum: 1920
-l always 4:3, create letterbox if 16:9
-b use bicubic picture resize (slow but smooth)-j (quality) produce jpg files instead of bmp (quality 0-100)
-p produce png files instead of bmp
-h this is the help screen
If no command is given the complete picture will be grabbed.
If no filename is given /tmp/screenshot.[bmp/jpg/png] will be used.Here is an example using DCC
grab jpg with skin osd resolution (good for skinshots)
command:Codegrab -d -j 100 /tmp/shot1.jpg
FTP to /tmp to retrieve your file
The results are perfect
