What is the difference between emulators

    mgcamd:
    Client only emulator > Uses GBox, Newcamd, CCcam, Radegast, Camd3 protocols > Unsupported..


    CCcam:
    Works as a Card reader/server & client > Uses Newcamd & CCcam protocols > Unsupported..


    Oscam:
    Works as a Card reader/server & client > Uses CSP, Camd 33, cs357x, cs378x, Newcamd, Radegast, CCcam, GBox, Pandora protocols > Supported with daily updates..

  • so you have more options with oscam then would that be right ?
    which one of them is the most reliable for picture quality and reliability and the simplest to get up and running for a rookie like me...

    Depends on whether you have your own card or not and which card it is.. If you were only a client then mgcamd is the best option..

    Yes you could use oscam with a separate CCcam or mgcamd if you wanted..

  • You can easily run oscam and CCcam on the same server, and for example let CCcam download from Oscam, but it's easier to let Oscam run it all and let it emulate CCcam, or rather, use CCcam SERVICE PROTOCOL from Oscam.


    Paste this into oscam.conf:


    [newcamd]
    port = 12XX@0x3x:000000
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314
    keepalive = 1
    mgclient = 1


    [cccam]
    port = xxxx
    version = 2.2.1
    reshare = 2
