why can't i get oscam to work on any image other than old Nemesis

thanks for the suggestion mate.

tried it and it came up with missing lib files, it is to much trouble me to hunt them down and install them, I find It difficult to understand why a relatively new image doesn't have the required files in place to run oscam.

anways thanks again for your help but this project is a bit to far for me, so I've gone back to the old Nemesis image and oscam/mgcam.

ok I've reinstalled openpli installed your 9790 oscam.

and on reboot this is the message I'm getting, can you see anything there that states why oscam wont work?

You need the webif version.

when you go to the oscam download centre there are 4 versions for each update,the webif is usually the last one.

Also you dont seem to have set your boxtype so open the webif and go to config,then DVBAPI and select dreambox and save.Then to be safe,set the PMT mode to 3 and save,but Pli can use 6 which is much faster,but you can play with that once you have it running.

use that and it will run for you.

the version of oscam I'm using is the one posted above for me by MasterG I'm assuming it's the correct version.

so what I'm going to do then is d/l the lastest Occam webif version delete the existing binary version and replace it with the new one, keep the start/stop script in /etc/init.d and edit it to point to the new version leave my configs as is.

then open the webif and do the modding you mention above.

what is PMT? i'm sure you don't mean Pre Menstral Tension although it feels like it lol, 'cos nothing is working atm.
