- Copy the Firmware to a USB device
- Unzip the Firmware in USB device
- After unzip you will get folder "xpeedlx"
- Switch off your Receiver in rear side with power switch
- Insert the USB device to any USB port
- Switch on the Receiver by power switch
- Update will start automatically
- If update finish the Receiver will show message in display
- Switch off the Receiver by power switch
- Remove the USB device
- Switch on Receiver by power switch
- Done

It will only start automatically if you have the force file. If it said noforce then change the name to force for auto flash.

is updating the firmware the same as flashing an image . i am thinking of flashing a new image as the one i have is pretty old and crashes alot . i want a good stable image , all the bells and whistles are nt necessary so any recommendations guys.....

Updating the firmware is the same as flashing an image.
I find openvix a very stable image for one of these.

Click "downloads" then select "golden interstar" and choose your model. -
Thanks Codar , i was wondering if you were still around . All your advice in the past has been spot on so i will take on board your suggestion and check out the above image in the next day or two when i get a chance...thanks again
