Is it possible for my router to connect to my vpn service so that every device on my network is encrypted? The alternative is to manually start up the vpn client on my smartphone and laptop, I never remember to do this tho?

Certain models by Asus, Cisco Linksys, D-Link, and Netgear can be flashed with a DD-WRT or Tomato firmware.
This should allow a vpn provider to be installed in the router and all devices connected behind it to be tunneled. -

Sorry m8, a quick google seems to show that your router doesnt support either tomato of DD-WRT.
Nice router so maybe draytek stock firmware may support vpn. -

Sure that model may have it built in anyway mate have a quick look over the settings.

I am using Asus AC 68U and Asus Ac 66U one with PureVPN and one with Hidemya$$, both flawless. Regards.

use google pal i have the same router and works fine if you have problem raise a ticket with there support they are very helpfull
