Question? Vu+ Duo, Blackhole 1.6.3, sly stopped working...

Hi, Ive got a Vu+ Duo with Blackhole 1.6.3 sly ready installed, all channels had been working fine until this morning. I then put my card back into the original box and it said it was the wrong card for the box and told me to phone sly.

I phoned them and the card was sorted no problem, so I asked what caused it and was told if the card is not used in the box for a while it happens which would be correct because the card hasn't been in the sly box its been in the Vu+ Duo!

My question is, is there a way I can stop it happening in the future or will I have to keep putting the card back in the original box from time to time?

Its a multiroom card as well.

It sounds like the entitlements run out on the card, keep an eye by looking at oscam webinfo regulary

In your web browser type

E.G 192.168.0.9

Click Readers

Then view entitlements

If no emm is being received you will need to examine your configs or update by putting the card in original box before they run out.

Thanks, when I click on that all it says is: "Entitlements for lower_card" and nothing else....

Ok oscam is working but it sounds like your card is being read by cccam instead of oscam can you post or pm me your cccam.cfg hiding all ports,passwords,lines ect. Basically you need to disable any line in your cfg that refers to card reader.

Also I noticed line 29 for the boxkey still had the # so I removed it and now the sly channels are working, have I fixed it ? lol

You have enabled the boxkey for cccam so the card is being read by cccam, the image you are using was made to use oscam to read the card if you try viewing pick tv you will notice it does not clear.

Yep pick tv isnt working, sorry for all the questions, still learning... how do I get it to use oscam?

Disable all lines that relate to the internal card reader in your cccam.cfg by putting # infront of them, the reader will show as /dev/sci0 .
Once done save & reboot & you should now see entitlements in oscam web info.

Log into oscam webinfo and show us any errors you are getting in the log.

You can add this to oscam.conf for logging, then restart oscam.

Added that, restarted box (dont know how to restart oscam), looked /var/log and no oscam.log
