  • Along the same lines of the official OpenViX Apollo image, I am posting the updates and changelogs here for the new OpenViX HD Apollo image line, This image is project by Rossi2000 with full support and in conjunction with the ViX team.

The main difference here is that this image has true 1080 HD frame buffer support (where made available from the various manufacturers).
This allows for a real HD skin to be used taking full advantage of the 1080 frame buffer for the entire skin. there is at present only one full HD skin available (YouViX by rossi2000), but more are coming soon. so stay tuned.

  • Sorry for not updating this thread earlier.

Just for information OpenViX HD (The first image the bring you full 1920x1080 HD skin support by a good few months forcing other teams to catchup once again) has now been discontinued but dont worry, we have merged all the necessary code directly into the base OpenViX image so from OpenViX Apollo build 095 you will be able to download the 1920x1080 full HD Skins for supported receivers directly from the image feeds.

Once again we would like to thank all our users for their continued support as we constantly strive to bring the single best Enigma2 experience possible, other teams may try to imitate us but they are always forced to play catchup and always will be.

Has another team really tried to imitate you?

This isn't a very community minded remark given this forum, ViX and many others are intended to be community'sfor hobbyist to discuss and share ideas. A principle which I thought ViX clearly endeavored to work towards being one of the members of the OE Alliance.

Short version - Your post would carry the same weight, explanation and meaning with the quoted bit deleted and also make you appear more professional, as being a staff member of ViX any post you make also reflects on them.

Anyway, constructive criticism over... Time for a nice warm cuppa!

*A community is a social unit of any size that shares common values and/or goals.
    ----------------------------------------------------------

For the avoidance of any doubt, I wanted to clarify that I am massively grateful for the contribution the ViX team make to the hobby and community, as I am all the coders, skinners, testers of the other images and plugins, as its those that make it possible for rest of us.

I am not obligated, or connected to any particular brand, seller or retailer so any opinions given are not biased in anyway.

  • There is nothing misleading about my statement, many teams have and still do continue to cherry pick portions or ideas from the ViX image while claiming it as their own (It's not that hard to find more than a good handful of examples with a simple google search).

I am simply crediting rossi2000 as the DEV who brought you true 1920x1080 HD skin support, He has been working on this for over 6 months and it is as a direct result of his constant requests to Gigablue, Xtrend, Vu+ (Vu+ being one of the last manufacturers to offer support and the only reason this is now being picked up by other teams), Technomate, Venton, Maxdigital and many more manufacturers that you now have the ability to use these high quality skins.

people deserve to know that before others yet again try to take the credit for work that is not their own. Rossi him self may not care who gets credit for this work but I believe people should know.

  • Install any OpenViX Apollo image from build 095 onwards and look in the feeds for the 1080 skins section, if it's present it has support if it is not there it does not . Cant get any simpler than that.

Any receivers that are supported by ViX will be listed here buddy: Openvix Download Centre

Yes i know, thanks for that.

My question is simple. What manufactures have compiled drivers to enable the use of the full HD skin.
Not all of them have, hence my question.
