    you know that you can use either dreambox edit or dreamset to put an up to date channels settings list or simply scan the sat.
    to install CCcam -download the version you want to use and ftp it to the appropiate folders for example : http://linuxsat-support.com/cc…ls/386-cccam-2-1-4-a.html or the e1-CCcam_2.1.4_100204.tar.gz‎ both are also in the posts.
    then add the lines needed etc in the .cfg. If its only going to be used as client then no need to open ports.

    No extra charge for me, they said that all hd subs with multi room will get upgraded for free after September 1st, mine took 4 days but some may take longer, got an old hd box for £30 and sorted boxkey and hey presto!!

    You have described the correct process for flashing but something has obviously went wrong, try using the .img version of that image with dreamup.

    ok ten i used the img and dream up and all ok now the box looks like your screen shots now lol one thing i dont understand is lots of the channels dont work for example bbc1 itv ect i can do anything with the s** chanels till tonight and my m8 brings his c*** down any idea why they dont work the screen shows details but no pic?

    well thats done it lol i flashed the image again from ten again and when it got to the end of the prosses it said error somthing 32 is not equal to local 32 and now the box wont switch on completly dead and help greatly recived? pls

    Keep turning it on and off at the mains for a bit...


    If nothing happens leave it off for a bit and retry..


    There is an erase image for the 500s in the image section, so if you get Dreamup to recognise it use that or another good image...

    right lets start again i have flashed tens image onto my dads dm500s and its all ok scanned the sat and have my channels again right im waiting for my friend to bring down the Ca** when i look at the confiq from tens image i dont want to use port12000 can i change to any i want in the confiq does this afect occam? also do i just write lines as normal c: f: ect in the confiq file the router is open and port forward ok and workin fine so whats the next stage and the n line in the confiq whats that all about please?{ Ps anyone wana dead box lol }

    Ok so change the listen port to whatever is open on your router..


    Do not alter the cfgs otherwise, i.e. leave the N-line...


    Just add c's and f's etc..


    Remember know you need to forward the port to that reciever and not the server you already have...
