  • Hi,

Great site has a real wealth of information,

Can someone point in the the right direction for a complete dummies guide on setting up OScam?
I already have it installed on my VU solo 2 but I need step by step instructions on how to configuire it.

My aim is to watch / record 2 encrypted channels simultaneously (at present CCcam isn't doing the trick)
I think I need to setup dvbapi on it - again can someone point me in the direction of a step by step dummies guide.

    Thanks all,
    MuRf

  • Cccam should allow you.
You probably need 2.3.0 if you have a new image installed.
Are you hoping to set up oscam to use as a card reader or just a client?
Also, what image and card (if any) have you?

  • Thanks for both replies - what is the bare minumum that is required on the config' side to operate dual cams?
Updated CCcam to 2.3.0 but same prob, I just want to setup as a client no server setup required - solo 2 is running vix

the details I have are in the following format

    N: something.domain.something port# user pw 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    Thanks in advance

  • Is it for 28.2?

Here are standard oscam configs for uk 0963:
    http://linuxsat-support.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=25589&d=1405858128
Extract out and sent the files to /etc/tuxbox/config/

Paste your line details into this handy tool and convert it to oscam server file:
    http://linuxsat-support.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=10388&d=1344884910
Copy the output of this program and paste it into your oscam server file on your receiver (/etc/tuxbox/config/)
Start/ restart oscam on your receiver in softcam manager.

Does your friend who gave you the share allow double logins?
As watching one encrypted channel and recording another may show up as a double login on his server which he may not allow.

  • hi mate when you say details do you mean flins because when I do put my flins in off my cccam config it don't convert anything it will on convert clines but I only have fling in my server cccam file.
    thanks

    - - - Updated - - -

that should say only convert clines, When I paste my flins in to the prog it don't convert to anything.

hi mate when you say details do you mean flins

    Your line details, eg: N: something.domain.something port# user pw 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
This was in relation to MuRf15's problem

To convert f lines, paste f line into top window of program and select "F: Lines".
On bottom window, select "oscam.user" and hit the "convert to oscam" button.
You can then inserted the converted details into your oscam user file on your server.

  • thanks but is that all I have to do, Because this is what got me confused when you said this , Paste your line details into this handy tool and convert it to oscam server file: Copy the output of this program and paste it into your oscam server file on your receiver, So the server file is just for clines.
    thanks pal

  • Oscam server section is for converting proxy card details (c-lines / N-lines) and then goes into your server config file.
Oscam user section is for converting F-lines and then goes into oscam user config file.

  • that was a joke mate. Ok iv set it up and it works on my box but all clients are off line?
    thanks

Muzz looks like you went from cccam to oscam as a server with a fast look at this thread if your cccam protocol is in is it the same port and is it forwarded and do you have a play button or pause button next to the user in the oscam user tab it needs to be pause or they are not enabled

  • I don't know now mate oscam just wouldnt work so Iv tried to set the box up with oscam and cccam with the files off here and even that don't work, I have oscam and cccam running great on my dreambox500 so I just change passwrds and my server port to the same in my et9000 as it is in the dreambox but no one can connect but works without bk in the my et9000 I just don't know what to do mate. sozz for being thick.

  • you will need to port forward even if its the same port as you had in a different device and it was working you need to forward that port to the correct device

    - - - Updated - - -

check dns is updated and forward the port correctly and it should work

  • port is open and working on my dreambox mate, I just cant get oscam to work on my et9000 I need to know exactly what to change for it to work in my et9000, I want to know how to just run oscam on my server but let clients connect with c lines and I would like to know how to do the same with oscam/newcamd (CCcam just to see whats best. all channels clear on my et9000 with just oscam running and I can see all my clines but they cant connect to me so im missing something silly. I went back to set it up on my vu+duo but the power board decided to blow up.
    Thanks lads
