  • Ahhh!, My 2nd box is only 12 meters from the 1st box holding the card . it is wired directly to the router (homeplugs), and freezes on premium channels only. I have tried cccam, Oscam and it makes no difference, it still freezes, I have borrowed another box (starview Combo, with Spiderbox Carling Update), that works perfectly on both Cccam and Newcamd Protocal. The image on the Vu+Duo is Blackhole (MasterG UK backup), the CCcam is 2.1.3, the Oscam is v9763. any ideas please?, The Cccam and Oscam were loaded seperatly (not together).

Edited once, last by junger: this is in the oscam log? ().

  • is he due 2 only being used as a receiver?
try to only use oscam or cccam if so no need for both running
also try using internl ip rather than dns ... ie 192.168.1.10

ive never used the back up but may be worth starting from scratch and just getting it running basic 1st

  • Thanks sWeRvEr

Well, that is that sorted, Changing from the ddns to the ip address have lowered the ecm's which have come and stayed constant at 106ms. can you please tell me why the ddns shows so high ecm's please

  • It's probably because by using a ddns address your ecm requests are being sent out round the internet before finally coming back in to your home and being served.
By using the LAN IP address everything is being kept in your internal network, massively cutting down on the number of hops / distance the requests are having to travel

  • Thanks jim1985, I understand your point, however, I have tried a different box (a borrowed starview, with spiderbox conversion and a dreambox) and they dont do the same freezing on ddns, so it would appear to be unique to te vu+duo. confused. anyone else had this problem?

  • There is an issue with vu readers especially with uk cards as they will not flush apparently from the post i saw, oscam devs did put a note on for vu to update and sort the drivers on their boxes and its still not done , solo 2 is the same although its more stable with services lists and using oscam dvbapi ,but however you will find even it you dont start the reader after x amount of not founds it will continue to work till it basically demands i the logs to be restarted for safety and wont clear anything till this is done, miraclebox readers are fantastic im using a solo 2 as a sid filter and main server with shares on fed by 2 miracle boxes with a card in each and having no issues at all with appropriate settings and services lists , however i still have a few doughnut peers that wont filter hd requests to my setup giving me untidy logs lol

still dont see the point of a noisy power hungry pc server for those wondering

  • Thanks Stevejo, The card is in another box (not the vu+duo),, as an update, when I point the oscam server(in the vu+duo) at the oscam user(in the ultimo where the card is) and use the ddns address, then the high ecms occur, however if I change the ddns (####.###.net)to the local ip address instead (192.###.###.##) then the ecms drop and are stable. If I remove the entry and insert one of my peers dns entries in the vu+duo oscam server the ecms remain low and stable. complexed I know, but was hoping that someone could explain it to me, Regards, j:54_002:unger
