Moteck motor problem

Hi can anybody help with my problem I recently brought a Moteck motor usals I connected it up to my dm500s it will move when I press east and west buttons but will not move more than one step on each press of the button I then tried my friends dm800 exactly the same problem I then changed the cable and still no luck I then reset motor in case that was the problem nothing changed

well set the motor to 0 deg then input lat long into the dm800 still the motor will not move more than one step also noticed that it will not drive when a v-transponder is selected only a Horizontal i think its the motor i might have to take a look inside it
