As above I mounted my USB so that I could download cross EPG, after this my picons diapered from the image but are still on my USB in folder named picon.
Just to clarify they were working until I mounted USB
How do I get them back?

Sorry, should have said. Post results here. They will show you mounts and seach for picon folders.
I just noticed, when I drop the picons into the folder the file name is actually shortening itself, this is why its not working.
Why is it shortening?

check in usr/share/ and see if theres a picon folder there too..
has the picon folder in media/usb got 755 permissions?

Shut down receiver by remote
Connect USB flash drive to PC,
Transfer picons
Connect USB stick back to receiver
Start receiver. It will mount automatically and show the picons.
Waste of time, tried all of the above and no good.
Obviously a problem with image once usb is mounted.
Did you do anything differntly to instructions above? You have mentioned mounting USB. This is an action that was not mentioned and should be automatically done.
Are you changing the mount points?
did everything as you said.
i mounted usb when i flashed the image, the picons were working until mounting.
ive tried all above suggestions since with no luck.
why are you mounting the USB stick ? the image does that automatically it self, there is no need for you to do it.
Consider repeating the steps sugested to you in post 9 and not altering mount points.
I suspect you are remounting because the USB stick being the first device is being mounted as "HDD". And people say not to use a HDD for picons? If so, that is used to describe a physical HDD, not a mountpoint called HDD If you insist on remounting, can you post instructions on exactluy what you are doing so that we can repeat and offer solutions/learn too.
