Yea I've been having a debate about it with a few mates in work. I'm still not sure myself.
As I understand it the only differance is the hand- shaking /checking for errors that TCP does. So the debate is does cccam need the checking (which slows the precess down).
or maybe its the other way around.
I've tried both on my server with no noticable change. I've even asked some Telecom engineers and they fail to agree.

CCcam protocol uses BOTH,,,as it uses more resources than gbox/mbox... to keep it stabilized...so BOTH TCP + UDP....

From what I briefly read I understood it that TCP sets up a direct connection whereas UDP sends out the data into the open hoping the recipient picks it up.
