New Duo2 box

    Hi guys I am new to this I wish there was an dummies guide. I just purchased a VU Duo2 and its not working, gives me the error: "Check tuner configuration". I don't know, do I need an image because I did not asked for an image when I purchased my box. By the ay many of the links on this thread don't open, are they old?

    Hello buddy, I have moved your post to here as it's a Duo2 you have..... you had posted in an old thread in the duo support section...


    No need for a dummies guide all the tutorials are already here.... your box will probably have come with the factory image installed. As your new to all this I would suggest that you try the openViX image first... very user friendly and easy to setup.


    I have attached the latest version here for you.... unzip the file which should leave you with a folder named "vuplus" , copy this folder to a usb stick which has been formatted to fat32. Turn your duo2 off at the rear, Pull down the cover on the front right hand side of the duo2, plug the usb stick into the slot here. Make sure no other usb sticks or devices are connected to the rear of the box. Turn the receiver back on and when prompted on the front screen press the power button located above where you have inserted the usb stick you are using to flash the new image with, if you don't press the power button the image will not flash onto the receiver.... wait for the flashing procedure to finish and when you see the message on the front of the receiver saying that it will reboot and counting down turn the receiver off at the rear first and then remove the usb stick from the front. When you have done that turn the box back on and follow the setup wizard to set the ViX image up.
