Some how I've lost the ccam.cfg files in Dreambox control centre, can anyone please tell me how to reload the software? I've tried to download and install but nothing changes, the same problem occurs no matter what I do..I cant install clines as there is nowhere to place them, even after looking on the web for answers...a step by step guide would be very useful right now and please don't expect me to be a computer wizard at this, I'm not! I have Dcc 2.96 version and have ran 2.95 both having no ccam.cfg files anywhere- I'm alone on this and don't understand all I should...help pls..kazz

Depending which box you have, extract the attached file then ftp the CCcam.cfg to /var/etc/ (enigma1) or /etc/ (enigma2)
-
I'm sorry to say this, but what are you saying pls????? like the post said, I'm no wizard and your statement went over my head..There is NOTHING in Dcc to find thats got CCcam.cfg at all..I need someone to walk me thru this holding my hand,so to speak! pls don't reply by saying just ftp this an that, it means nothing unless its explained to me-so I'd Be wasting yr time and I don't want to do that- but thanks for yr reply anyway- I'm using a Dreambox 800 hd clone. but will be changing to a Xtrend ET5000 soon..

In configuration on DCC when you click reconnect does it connect properly ?
Click ftp below configuration, do you see folders on the right panel like below ?
-
Its almost the same, but not quite...on the right is no-where near the same, does that matter, bcause i cant find the correct path to get mine to follow yours....on the left panel is my path..
auto.fs
bin
boot
dev
etc
home
lib
media
proc
sbin
sys
tmp
usr
var
(a hand pointing to the right)
ba_>/media/ba
hdd_>media/hdd
mnt_>media
shate_>/usr/share -
on the left box of DCC you see a folder named VAR click on it to open more then you´ll see ETC ,click on it then go down the list and you´ll see CCcam.cfg ..right click on CCcam.cfg to open or edit it

so its where etc is, should this now connect the cline with the box, or more to go?
-
You can add your c lines anywhere in the CCcam.cfg, above or below my info it doesnt matter.
That version of DCC you are using is for Enigma1 type receivers, get the updated version from here, DCC-E2 v1.42 by BernyR.
-
If you have CCcam installed and active as the default cam then it will automatically start the CCcam.cfg.
-
Done that an its working with the new info still in, will check the box , see if its decoding...
-
Could you pls guide me to the correct software to run the Xtrend et5000 I have just purchased? I believe Dcc won't run it due to password problems, so is there anything else available...this learning curve is giving me a headache!
-
ah,no not done that, still on the dreambox so need to sort that out then....
-
As fas as i am aware dcc should work without problems with your receiver, you can try using filezilla included here if you wish
ET-Toolbox v0.40 -
DCC-E2 v1.42 by BernyR. works fine on xtrend et5000.
-
thankyou for your time and efforts in helping me, you have been very kind....I will practice the rountines and see how I go on from here...all the best, kazz
-
A bit more more begging if you don't mind! Q's- do you know how to start the xtrend?, its saying no cam found, setup CCcam first in /etc/CCcam.config
-
Press the menu button and look for softcam manager or softcam ci, there you will be able to start/stop the default cams if its installed.
If you need more help with the xtrend start a new thread here Clarke Tech / Xtrend.
