Issues flashing a new image on Vu+ Solo 4K

    Anyone had any issues flashing a new image? I have the new VU+ Solo 4k and have tried to flash the Blackhole image but the box is not progressing to the flash. I have followed the instructions and no joy. I have formatted the USB to FAT32 and placed the files unrar on the stick, turned off box placed stick in front usb port and although when I turn the box back on the usb flickers to acknowledge it is being read the box simple continues to boot and goes to a channel instead of flashing the image. The only thing I haven't tried is using another usb stick as I don't have a spare at the moment. Am I missing something else perhaps?

    I think I need to change the usb then because I did extract files, thanks for the reply :)

    Have you tried installing a different image? Maybe the files of the one your trying are corrupted. I don't have 4K,I'm using a duo2 and many times I have had a problem flashing because the file was corrupted or hadn't been extracted properly. Also make sure that the file on the sub is named correctly. If it's like the duo2 then it should be named vuplus

    You should only have one folder named vuplus on the usb drive after you have extratced from rar.....


    That folder contains all the files that are required to flash the new image.....

    I did not have to go through the link because I know what to do, I assume you must have resolved your issue with a different usb drive I have not resolved my problem having tried different usb drives and different images including the new vix image, I just end up start screen and no further regards.

    i have also a problem with mine i extract the image to usb .put into the front of the solo 4k it asc me do i want to flash hit power btn so i do this it says reading usb and starts to flash but wont go past the flash part hours later nothing still just stuck on flashing image .i have done this 4 time with diff image and now the box is just stuck on vu plus on the tv screen and the small screen is in gray and says 01 01 1970 0208 time iam lost now .is there a way to fixe this £500 box .not a Happy sausage

    thanks master G fast reply .yes i have used 3 dif usb and there is no other usb in the box also removed the hard drive .yes it was expensive got it from amazon withe hard drive and a extra cable tuner only thing i haven't done is use a format tool .i just used what was on my pc and hit format .is there a way to put it back to factory settings even then i can start over again

    I have seen this on cheap usb sticks, I have a 1gb stick that we give out at work and the image starts to flash and maybe 10 seconds in it just stops and hangs. With the same image but on a scandisk 32gb the process just continues to updating rootfs (i think) and I know it will continue.
