Did you set the hub up as a device when you added it the same as you will have done with smargo when first setting up?

This question is being asked more often lately so here is a quick explanation for those new to using Oscam

In your web browser type

Ip.Address.Of.Receiver:8888/

E.G 192.168.0.9

Username & password = admin

Click Readers

Then view entitlements

If this does not work then add the following to your oscam.conf file if there is already [webif] there just edit what you see there already to match & you will connect after restarting Oscam.

[webif]
httpport = 8888
httpuser = admin
httppwd = admin
httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255,::1

Your card is read by oscam so you need to look in oscam web info to see entitlements
In your web browser type

http://[COLOR='#FF0000']IpOfDrembox[/COLOR]:8888/

E.G 192.168.0.9

Username & password = admin

Click Readers

Then view entitlements

If this does not work then add the following to your oscam.conf file if there is already [webif] there just edit what you see there already to match & you will connect with that version of oscam.

No problem i will leave the file there so others can use it in the future, glad you are sorted mate.

Here is the file i created to test it, its in rar format just extract it to /etc/udev/ replacing what you have there now.

Ok the problem is you should use notepad not worpad and save as all files as shown below, i just tested this myself to be sure

The tutorial says to save the file as "52_reader" so try

chmod 755 /etc/udev/52_reader

Another option is to ftp to the location and set attributes manually. (right click on the file & choose properties)

A new satellite is due to be in place at 16E by the end of the year ( we said this last year lol ) if all goes well you will pull in 16E no probs on a 80cm dish but if you are going for a new dish i agree go for the biggest you can afford with a quality lnb. If you are after viasat & cnl nordic you will need to spend more, for reference 4.8e is no problem with 1M in NE Scotland in all weather but this is right on the edge of the beam.

Go for the best you can afford mate or you may regret it later.

When you installed it you will have been given the option as below

dpkg-reconfigure ddclient

You can check the updater is running with this command.

/etc/init.d/ddclient status

I have a 1.2M dish and get 75% signal on 16E.

Its a weak satellite in terms of signal so the bigger the dish the better tennents.

You will need at least a 1M or possibly 1.1M.

If you are thinking of getting Tring for the footy i would think again, all the 3pm kickoffs on saturday did not show, theres a thread HERE about it.
