is all this if you share your card or is it ok for private use say mates who don't reshare.
thanksSharing with people you know & trust is the safest way, the reshare is irrelevent as this bypasses it.

Just installed flashexpander and see it has moved /usr/ directory to my usb.
It has freed up some ram and coolman tv guide has now been installed to the usb device.

A channel list certainly makes things more organised & eaier to find what you need, to setup the epg go to
Menu
Setup
CrossEPGFrom there you can configure the epg choosing storage location, providers, automatic epg download ect.
Once you have that setup have a look at this

Those examples were for the white card yes, putting the dns at the end of the line means the only person that can use the line is who you gave it to. Without this your line can be used by anybody.
Always lock the fline to your peers dns.

what image do you reccomend
Not really a question i can answer for you as the right image for one person differs to the next, my personal favourites on the dm800 were ICVS, Open PLI & Dream Elite Phoenix Edition but the only way to find whats best for you is to try as many as possible.

if somone gives you a share with a reshare but you dident want others to be able to use that reshare is there a way to stop this ?

this allows your local, hop1&2 but stops him receiving provider 0963F: user pass 2 0 0 { 0:0:2, 0963:0:1 } { } { } peers dns
this allows your local, hop1&2, he can view provider 0963 only & not reshare itAll this info is already on the forum mate, try using the search & reading what you find.

I havent used a dm800 or for some time now but from memory i think you need to change the setup mode to expert in the system menu then after reboot the additional options are there.
Try
menu/setup/system/customise
change to expert save & reboot.Blue button twice for hdd manager. As i said i am not 100% sure of this, hopefully another member can advise.
