As I told you else where if you are getting into this hobby to try and get something for nothing, dont be surprised if you dont get any help.

They are both based on the Venton receivers so ultimately use the same drivers ect, I personally have not used either receiver but they are both German made and get good feedback in Germany, Europe where they have been marketed for a lot longer than here in blighty.
-
As I have said repeatedly here and else where, the latest drivers are for a different linux kernel and are not compatible with images running older kernels, trying them with old images will result in a none booting receiver. (They should be posted in a separate thread because of this)
-
There are no ViX images for any SH4 based receivers and never will be, any image that claims to be from ViX for these receivers is false and not from the ViX team.
-
rodina Please start your own thread rather than hijacking this one, also please be aware that this forum does not currently offer support for Vu+ clones.
-
You said in the first post that you repeatedly flashed the bootloder, why ?. Flashing the bootloader is akin to updating the bios on a pc/laptop and only needs to be done when a updated bootloader is released, needlessly flashing the bootloader is a very easy way to destroy the receiver.
as for you'r current issue, try generating a bootlog with a rs232 null modem cable and a putty session, this will give more insite into what is going wrong.

Feeds are now online again but remember , if you want to use the online update option you must FTP into /etc/opkg and delete or rename the ocram feeds. Once you have updated this will no longer be a problem.
-
Plugin feeds are not offline !!.
Just to let users know the plugin feeds are not offline at this moment in time, there is currently a issue with the ocram picons download server which has caused issues with the OpenViX plugin feeds, to get around this for the time being just FTP into /etc/opkg/ and delete or rename the ocram plugins feeds.
Just a update on this,
The feeds have now been taken off line while build 023 is being uploaded as it needs to be checked due to a earlier attempted build failing.

The only way to be future proof is pay for a legit sub from your provider to watch tv.
I do, I just don't want to use their ****e receiver.
-
It's a clone, He posted the same else where and has acknowledged that this only happened after loading VTI 7.0.
-
ViX already has a more advanced timeshift plugin built rite into the image by default, in fact the timeshift plugin Pli now use was "borrowed" from ViX although they will never admit to that as they like to submit things to their git and conveniently forget to add the appropriate credits, unlike pretty much every one else.

If and when Enigma 3 does materialize dont expect it to be instantly running on every receiver, as it will likely only work on DMM hardware, hardware that is likely not even available at this moment in time. Then there is the fact the DMM hardware is vastly overpriced for what they offer, so dont hold out for some mythical magical fix with Enigma 3.

Are you 100 percent certain that it's genuine ?, because it still sounds to me like a Clone bomb affected receiver.
-
Obvious question but is it a genuine unit or a clone ?, because your symptoms sound very much like your receiver was hit with the clone bomb. If it is a clone, A) you wont get any further assistance here and B) you will need to remove the Nand Flash chip and replace it with another as the clone bomb wipes it.
-
Thats a hard one to say to be honest, I know a lot of people will instantly say that Vu+ have better support but thats a fantasy populated by those who dont know any better, in my opinion. I will say this I have several receivers from Vu+, Xtrend, Technomate and Gigablue, every one has it's issues but overall they all do the same thing, that said the Technomate receivers can be hit and miss with their driver development and when things do go wrong they are very slow to put them rite.
The solo SE is at this moment in time a unknown quantity but if it is any thing like other Vu+ receivers you will be happy with one of them, and it does look like it will fill your requirements.
-
It's a decent little receiver, it's based on the Vu+ solo2.

Revision 1.1 now available.
Many thanks to Rob Van der Does for all his hard work once again.
