because your not looking in the correct place,
Menu> Setup> System> User Interface> Skin setup>
The flashing tutorial is still accurate weather flashing ViX 3.0, Zeus or Helios but as already pointed out you can not use a settings backup made in ViX 3.0 with ViX Helios, it's just not compatible.
when i get time i will update all my flashing tutorials to include the point of not using ViX 3.0 backups in Zeus or Helios, also need to update the ABM tutorial to include Cable and Terrestrial scanning.

no this is not for streaming live TV but rather a catchup service.
The Vu+ Uno, Vu+ Ultimo and Vu+ Duo2 can all accommodate a cable tuner card.
yes it's a clone also.
That's what happens when you buy cheap Chinese products. You think you've made a good deal but in fact all you get are aches and pains. And to get your money back or support, they'll make you run for months.
Spend a little more and you get peace of mind...and real support too
Could not have said it better my self.
A) you wont get any support here for a clone, and this thread will likely be closed once a member of staff see's it.
B) dont waste your money, loads of clone Vu's ( especially the clone solo2 ) have died this weekend with a suspected clone bomb.
And a rather smart opening screenie, even my wife remarked on same. Thanks for all the work being done for linux boxes. Regards.
You can again change the bootscreens directly via the plugins menu, we have uploaded a few now and more to follow, plus users can submit their own for consideration to be added to he feeds. There is also a new DVB-C option for ABM and soon to be DVB-T but we need some help with those. I dont want to post links here as there on our forum and dont want to link away out of courtesy towards Master G and the staff here.
A few people have been asking why so many image revisions recently, so i will attempt to answer that without drolling on too much.
Zeus was a total rewrite and a new core which is why it had to be a total reflash with no settings backups used, this is also why it took nearly four months to release after the last ViX 3.0 series image.
Helios was unfortunately due to a recent merge with the latest OE (Open Embedded), This contained a hell of a lot of fixes including one for the heartbleed bug which in turn affected almost every other part of the image due to dependencies, It was not our plan to make a new image so soon after Zeus but for security reasons we though it better to do the update now rather than be caught with our pants down with this heartbleed bug.
we had to release Helios because after the merge with the new OE it was no longer possible to update Zeus without affecting pretty much every aspect of the image and rather than users ignore our request not to use the online update we decided to take that option out of their hands.
Technomate images held back for the time being while we investigate some minor issues with these images.

Proudly introduces a brand new ViX image for all OpenViX supported receivers

OpenViX Helios requires a full reflash, you can use a settings backup taken from OpenViX Zeus this time (but not from OpenViX 3.0 or earlier).
So what is different in OpenViX Helios then?
As with OpenViX Zeus the main difference is core of the image or the OE (Open Embedded), this has undergone a lot of changes, updates and fixes (including fixes for the heartbleed bug in openssl). As a user you should not notice any differences between OpenViX Zeus and OpenViX Helios. (i.e. there are no real functional differences.)
OpenViX Zeus build 023 will be the final build in the Zeus series, and so Helios takes over the reins.
But why a new image so soon, you just launched Zeus?
Basically the recent update of the image OE (Open Embedded) to v 2.1, was very significant. This contains substantial changes and updates that mean you cannot use the online update feature from OpenViX Zeus build 023. Rather than asking users not to use the online update function, we have taken the step of changing the image name to ensure that users perform a fresh flash.

confirmed as a clone, he's posted the same thing else where pretty much word for word, but including that it's a clone.
are you sure this is not a clone ?, because reading on some other forums it seems a lot of clones have suddenly died overnight with the same symptoms, presumably as a result of something in the hardware drivers.
yup 100 percent made in china clone.
sorry u got that wrong it was all me im afraid....
thanx 4 posting it.u saved me the job.
Dont be bashful, It's well funny, made my day it did.
Although for future episodes please learn to spell "sicilian" correctly.
You have to watch this video, It's hilarious, easily the funniest thing i have seen in months and had me pissing my self laughing.
Massive big up goes to fraggle and his pals for putting this together, I eagerly await further installments.
Just what you come to expect from that lot at Lavatronics. Yet another reason not to buy anything from them.
Its not about sharing and helping out with those lot, its just about money grabbing.
