Have you considered the Gigablue Quad ?, it runs the same CPU as the solo2 and is only £250 from the site sponsor, plus as the name suggests it can be configured for 4 tuners ( 2 built in, 2 plug and play that you can add later if you wish ).

I'm not saying i would not miss it but if this is what it takes to get rid of the payserver scum i'm all for it.

Yes more bull crap from the premier league and fact taken from the report and I qoute Nobody is authorised to broadcast football matches in the UK that take place between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday – the ‘closed period’ – in order to protect attendances and participation across all levels of football in this country. I think we all know that this is all about money and protecting the investments of sly and bt sports and its has nothing to do with attendances.
No arguments from me there, in fact i cant stand football, give me rugby union or cricket any day of the week over pissy football.

You might Pheonix but im sure Stef wont no one can say they will be happy if it ends you telling yourself porkies
Personally i could care less about Cardsharing, I have been a satellite enthusiast for over 25 years and seen hacks, cracks, cards, cams etc come and go, I operated a DM7020 SI with a motor on FTA for 7 years and did not once miss paid channels. I have a shoe box full of old cards and cam modules going back 15 years and more, For me this is a hobby not a business and If CS goes down ill put my sly card back into my sly box and that will be that.
-
Why would Sly end cardsharing tommorow and allow BT to grow which in turn would give them more Ammo to purchase the premier legue rights and others. If Sly lost the Premier league rights then you can say goodbye to half their viewers id dare say who would be signing up to BT.
!Exactly the same was said when UK cable changed to the more secure nagravision 3 system a few years ago but they did not go bust overnight and neither will sly, if CS ends tomorrow i for one will be happy.

The UK’s Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU) has made an arrest of an individual suspected of selling devices that allow pubs to illegally broadcast Premier League football matches on a Saturday afternoon.
Detectives from the City of London Police unit arrested a man, 40 at his home in the East Midlands town of Newark, following a referral from the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT) and the Premier League. He was taken to a local police station for questioning and was later released on bail.
The suspect is believed to be selling set-top boxes, each worth hundreds of pounds, which can broadcast Premier League matches that are not authorised to be shown in any UK commercial premises, infringing Premier League copyright.
Nobody is authorised to broadcast football matches in the UK that take place between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday – the ‘closed period’ – in order to protect attendances and participation across all levels of football in this country.
DI Rob Stirling said the operation showed how PIPCU is working with multiple partners to tackle suspected intellectual property crime nationwide. “IP crime is costing the UK economy millions of pounds each year and our officers are committed to combating this fraudulent and criminal activity,” he asserted.
Kieron Sharp, FACT Director General, said the Federation works to protect the rights of its members and was pleased to be working again with PIPCU. “Organised criminals are using the Internet to defraud legitimate businesses and threaten the jobs of over 1.5 million people working in the UK’s creative industries and PIPCU is playing a crucial role in tackling this criminality.”
PIPCU launched in September to protect UK industries that produce legitimate, high quality, physical goods and online and digital content. The operationally independent unit, based at the City of London Police, is initially being funded by the Intellectual Property Office, which is part of the Department for Business, In****tion and Skills.

No such thing as ViX nightly builds mate, we release them as and when there are updates available, sometimes these can be daily sometimes there may be a gap of some weeks etc.
now as for blindscan I'm not really sure, some retailers list it as being blindscan compatible personally i dont think it is and we have not had any confirmation from the manufacturer to say if it is or not.
The sponsor does not list it as being blindscan compatible so i'd go of that for the time being.

what is BBC iPlayer V0.4 is it the same as the bbc iplayer on ondemad. i hope we can get4od on ondeamnd
I have said it multiple times 4OD is gone, CH4 have made changes on their end which will take a long time to overcome if ever, so you are not going to see 4OD on a enigma2 receiver again for a long time.

My own Uno ( one of the first batch of test units Vu+ shipped to the UK prior to their launch ), simply wont accept any BH image and never has, it will load any and every thing else including VTI but will not load a BH image.
-
yet more crap for the traders to buy in bulk and palm of on unsuspecting customers on ebay as the real thing.
-
It's a OEM version of the Venton HDx models, This one is based on the HD2 if i'm not mistaken, keep a eye out for the Miraclebox HD2 which is also based on the Venton HD2 but far better than the xpeed versions.
-
From the information i have at the moment the Quad plus is the same as the regular Quad but with a larger LCD and Gigabit LAN, every thing else is the same.
-
-
think theres an issue as i dont see those buttons ?
yep exactly the same issue here.
-
Trust me BH will never support this receiver, and if they do they will have to cease supporting Vu+ in order to do it.
-
No BH support yet bud, I would imagine the reason for this is because this receiver is still a bit of a newbie to the market.... let's hope they do provide support in the future.
beer10
No there will never be BH support for this receiver, BH only support Vu+ and their parent company Marusys because there paid to only support them.
-
It's not a bootlogo but a splash screen, This can only be changed by placing the file into the image folder and flashing it to the receiver either with the image or on it's own .
Download the image of your choice and look in /vuplus/solo2/ for a file called splash_cfe_auto.bin This is your splash screen file but not all images provide one.

BT Sport is ready to invest a lot more and already has its eyes on the next Premier League rights, claims BT TV chief executive Marc Watson.
Watson said the £897 million (€1.05bn) just spent on 2015-18 Champions League rights was “worth every penny” despite claims BT had hugely over paid.
Watson told the UnitedCity sports summit in Manchester: “We have been able to afford some pretty eye-watering sums because it drives a position in a big and lucrative market, and we are in a position to invest more.”
“I know that some have questioned how much we have paid for football rights, especially in the last couple of weeks, but the truth is that money makes a difference in a highly competitive market and we only pay what we think the rights are genuinely worth to us, and we hope that’s enough to win it.”
“The losers always say the winners have overpaid but we know we wouldn’t have won it for less, and what we have got with the Champions League are some of the best matches on the planet and they are worth every penny.”
“It is too early to say what we will do in terms of the next Premier League rights. We are a big business and we generate a lot of free cashflow, and if we think this is working for us and we see something that drives the business forward, then we are in a position to invest.”
Watson said BT has experienced a surge in the number of broadband subscribers and regards the expansion of super-fast, fibre-optic broadband as the key to people changing TV viewing habits. He tried to downplay the rivalry with ***, however, insisting there was room for two – but perhaps not three – major live sports broadcasters in a market where “football is king”.
-
Jeremy Darroch, chief executive of B***B, has tried to allay investor fears of a major rights fight with BT. He told an investor conference in Spain that *** was happy to make a wholesale deal to ensure subscribers would still be able to access content. He added higher subscription prices would ensure maintained profitability.
Responding to investor fears, Darroch highlighted investments in *** Atlantic and movies. “The journey at *** since day one has been to broaden out and do new things,” he said. “While sport is very, very important to ***, it’s just one of the things that we do.”
The Champions League rights currently cost *** £80 million (€94m) a year, which Darroch said would be reinvested in other programming.
He also said there was a “very strong” opportunity for *** to charge more in spite of political debate about the cost of living in the UK. *** had only increased prices by 4 per cent in recent years, while the wider market had seen inflation of 10 per cent, he said. It typically raises prices in September or October.
