    no your not missing any thing, this is something that team red need to address as you pointed out they only have one fully compatible skin properly mapped to the image.

    another thing to try is in telnet

    init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 3

    this will give you a read out of exactly what is being updated, as in the case of ocram picons as these can trigger the update icon without there being a full image update available.

    He's also a moderator on the old dreamboxuk forum. Last time i bought from him He had a fairly good customer service record but that has gone down hill remarkably in the past two year's.

    FTP to usr/bin/ and look for a file called wget if it's not there or named as -wget then your likely infected with the aidra virus.

    Code

    Important Announcement.

    'From build 760 onwards the video-mode selection has been completely overhauled. It is no longer merely a plugin, but has been embedded as an integral part of the image.

    It is now necessary to reflash your receiver, a online update will cause issues. Before flashing you can use the BackupManager to make a settings- and plugin backup. If done, you can flash in the usual way and during the First Install Wizard you can use the restore function to restore your backup. This way your box will be up & running in a couple of minutes.

    Once the image is up and running, you should go to Menu> Setup> AV-settings, and make the settings in accordance with your setup.'

    Is it my imagination but is there an unusual amount of channels moving recently?

    Not really, there getting geared up for the arrival of the new bird ASTRA 2E plus the ongoing legal battle with Eutelsat over who owns the rites to 500 MHZ of bandwidth for the 28.2 / 28.5 spot which has been ongoing for over ten years, but looks to be nearing a end ( could all change again in the coming months as Eutellsat have one last appeal hearing due ).

    The Cam manager will always start the cams in the order they were initially started.

    For example.
    Start oscam then wait a few seconds and start CCcam. from that point onwards every time you restart the box or image oscam will start first followed by cccam after five or ten seconds ( i cant remember which but it's programmed into the cam manager by default ).

    personally if and when i do move over to linux whole hog i really dont want to be emulating windows programmes i want native support, otherwise it kind of defeats the purpose for me.
