There are a few things you can look for if you suspect it's a clone.

such as a version sticker on the rear of the receiver such as v2 or v3.
a sticker on the top lid of the receiver in the bottom left corner ( with the receiver facing you ) offering a URL for "safe images".

there are also other things to look out for if your concerned, but as already said, there are no solo2 clones on the market yet to my knowledge.

Nothing has changed with the BBC iplayer, it is still working just fine here.

This thread is about AutoBouquetsMaker ( By the OE-Alliance ), AutoBouquets is a totally different plugin by a different author. as for the original post, ABM was created to create a bouquet that mirrors the user set region as per a official B5kyB receiver, which is exactly what it does. That said if you want alterations or updates best ask one if it's authors.

To be honest i have always found the return the love plugin to be a total waste of time as with the duo's and solo's it more often than not would return a positive ie not a clone result even when it was a clone. also i'm not even sure if Vu have updated the plugin to take into consideration the newer boxes as the solo2 was not even built when this plugin was launched.

if you have used a reputable seller you should be fine and as the others have said no solo2 clones have surfaced as of yet.

if the fan on your Duo is excessively noisy i'd say there is something wrong with it, both my Duo's ( Duo LE and the regular Duo ) are barely audible when the fan is in operation.

Kim Shillinglaw, the BBC’s head of 3D, has admitted that the technology has not taken off with the British public and said that the Corporation will take a three-year break from developing 3D programming at the end of this year.

Shllinglaw, who has been overseeing the BBC’s two-year pilot for 3D, admitted that the viewing public has not taken to the medium and said that the BBC’s 3D project will enter a three year hiatus once the trial ends at the end of this year.

During this pilot period the Corporation has experimented with televising several shows and events in 3D, including its flagship entertainment format Strictly Come Dancing, the children’s drama Mr. Stink, natural history documentary Walking with Dinosaurs, and last summer’s Olympic Games.

However, even though an estimated 1.5 million UK households now own 3D enabled televisions the BBC’s 3D coverage of the Olympics Opening Ceremony was only watched by around half of all 3D TV owners in the UK.

Last Christmas’ broadcasts of Mr. Stink and the Queen’s Speech proved to be even more disappointing, drawing the interest of less than 5 per cent of potential viewers, it has emerged.

Explaining the problem, Shillinglaw told RadioTimes.com: “I have never seen a very big appetite for 3D television in the UK. Watching 3D is quite a hassly experience in the home. You have got to find your glasses before switching on the TV. I think when people watch TV they concentrate in a different way. When people go to the cinema they go and are used to doing one thing – I think that’s one of the reasons that take up of 3D TV has been disappointing.”

The BBC’s 3D project will culminate in the 3D Doctor Who anniversary episode this November as well a natural history programme called Hidden Kingdom.

“After that we will see what happens when the recession ends and there may be more take up of sets but I think the BBC will be having a wait and see. It’s the right time for a good old pause”, concluded Shillinglaw.

So factually is the Vix image finalised then? and will it be ready for release when the Duo2 is launched?

The final image will be released as and when we decide we are happy with it, thats as much as i'll say on the topic. my gripe was with the OP who is well known to big up his own credentials by insinuating he is in the know, well i can tell you this now he's not.

odds are you can build a functioning image right now from the oe-a git.
it'll probably be fine bar a few tweaks kernel wise. or any driver issues from vu.

im sure there'll be a vix image avaialble either before or on the day of release ;)

Technically you can build almost any E2 image from the GIT as long as one member team supports it, I have a full series of ViX DM images i built my self out of boredom more than any thing else.

Once support has been added to the GIT it's there for any one to use.

any hoo back to the point, ViX will be released by the ViX team when were good and ready as always.

He does not speak for any third party image team so his opinions about that area is just that, his opinion, not based is fact.

Third party images are also not yet fully finalised.

of course the Third party images are going to be somewhat behind the OI, simply because the Vu+ devs have had well over a year to finalise their image since the anga 2012 expo. That said many third party images have been in the works for a good while and unless you have contacts within those dev teams you cant say anything about the status of their work.
