it is not important which receiver you have DBUK is just a forum. setup a account on the forum and follow the instructions on how to set the login details for the front end program, then you will be fine.

There part of the same physical satellite network if your receiving channels on that frequency then you are receiving them from the Eutelsat 28A bird as thats the only one of the 5 that carries that transponder at the moment.

and while were on the subject there is no such location as 28.5 east as all 5 birds are part of the same 28.2 east location.

There are plenty of images out intended for genuine DM800 boxes but as pointed out by Ten Below more people need to patch images for clones.

intact DMM them selves just released a experimental Enigma 2.0 image for the DM800 here

p.s when ViX 2.4 is released ( soon so please dont ask for a ETA ) the default port for OpenWebif will be set to 80 as standard so no need to change any thing.

ok well on ViX 2.2 the OpenWebif was not used ( it was not even created back then ) so unless you have installed it your self there is no need to change the HTTP port.

you dont say what image your using. The reason i ask is that for example in ViX 2.3-204 you need change the default HTTP PORT number for OpenWebif to 00080

actually no i would not. i would still say the same.

make a backup of your existing image and try for your self. The fact that i'm affiliated with ViX make no difference to me which image you use.

i really think posts like this are of no practical use what so ever.

most images now have the ability to make a complete 1 to 1 backup of the existing image on the box, so that you can try other images and if its not to your liking you can go back in a few minutes.

no one can say if your going to like any image but you so just try it if thats what you want to do. otherwise you'll be sitting on the fence forever wondering what if ?.

using the loopthough feature only allows a very limited improvement and is no where near as good as using a separate feed per tuner, no matter what image you use.
