Ideally you should FTP into the receiver and grab one of the generated crash logs from /home/root/logs/ so that we may try and see why it crashed in the first place.

Most if not all attachments here have been vetted prior to being uploaded, that said not all have been vouched for but you will rarely if ever get any form of virus or malware from a attachment here or many of the other equally reputable sat forums, but having good antivirus / anti malware software on your PC is a must so as long as thats upto date you will be fine. as for opening the files I use 7-zip for that, it's very powerful and free.

    why its not in english

Could be any reason, but most likely the author of the plugin may not be a native English speaker so wrote it in his / her native language. or it may be streaming MTV channels from other none English speaking countries. Not all plugins out there are in English.

Which MTV on demand on which satellite?

It's a IPTV plugin posted on the forum mate.

Depends on weather the manufacturer decides its a good idea to enable the 1080 frame buffer or not, no 1080 frame buffer no image, its pretty much that simple.

It took Vu+ well over 6 months before they all of a sudden decided to release a update enabling the 1080 frame buffer.

Along the same lines of the official OpenViX Apollo image, I am posting the updates and changelogs here for the new OpenViX HD Apollo image line, This image is project by Rossi2000 with full support and in conjunction with the ViX team.

The main difference here is that this image has true 1080 HD frame buffer support (where made available from the various manufacturers).
This allows for a real HD skin to be used taking full advantage of the 1080 frame buffer for the entire skin. there is at present only one full HD skin available (YouViX by rossi2000), but more are coming soon. so stay tuned.

Sorry for taking so long to update this thread, other things got in the way such as the day job and holidays etc. any hoo I would recommend you reflash the image ans use a settings backup instead of using the online update option as there have been a lot of feeds updates lately and unless you are on a relatively recent image the update wont work properly, but a settings backup should be fine.

If you are confident enough to reflash the receiver then I would say yes, that would be the best way forward, as for Image choice, thats something only you can decide, try a few and see which you like best. I would say ViX but then again I am bias towards ViX so I won't recommend any image.

yes the xl2 has full ViX and ATV support.

It is always better to use the image it self to format / initialize the HDD than a thirdparty plugin such as TSpanel, which incidentally is a known cause of mount point failures on HDD's in the ViX image and all other Pli based images. The image will format the HDD to the linux EXT4 format and create all the nessecary file structures specifically needed for it's proper use in the image.

If you are using the latest builds of openvix image with CCcam 2.2.1 and below that is the problem.. Try CCcam 2.3.0 and let us know if it makes any difference..

It's not just OpenViX but appears to be all OE-A images based on the v2.3 core, not sure about the latest BH images as I dont use them.

I am assuming this is to do with the new OE-A core as it only started to happen at or just after the new core went live but I could be wrong on that.

Also for the record CCcam 2.2.1 is no longer working properly on the latest images (since migrating to the new OE Core, it wont decode more than one stream at a time so you will have to use CCcam 2.3.0 instead if you want to watch and record premium channels simultaneously.

Hi Phoenix,I'm using 2.1.3, I have used this on all my vu systems over the years, seems to be good enough, was afraid to move up the numbers, is it better to move to newer cccams? Are they better? Thanks

you have no choice this time as something in the older versions does not work in the new OE core, if you want to decode more than one service at a time your going to have to use 2.3.0

I presume you are using CCcam 2.2.1 ???, if so thats your issue, this version of CCcam can not decode more than one channel at a time with the new OE-A core. Dont ask me why I dont know but it just wont, update to CCcam 2.3.0 and you will be good to go again.
