The question, now, is how would u someone who is new to this? One gotta start from somewhere, right. If I pay for this then I won't get any support here as stated above. Vip membership won't help me as u say. How do I got about with it then?

what i did is i bought a porn card first around 120 quid and started sharing it, i got a few shares back from it. theres a lot of xxx cards about getting shares so there not really wanted as much as a sports card, so then i subscribed to bt sports and my shares grew to around 15 which is plenty for me to get the channels i want to open, i got help from this forum setting it up and help from here when my servers gone tits up, there isnt anything you can do to your server to break it that hasnt been posted on here a thousand times so take a chance and buy a card or subscribe to a $ky service and share that

i got my card from here (delete if not allowed) http://www.viewtech.tv/product…d-viaccess-12-month-card/

You'l not get anyone sharing with you if you haven't got anything to share back pal, that's why the Hobbys called card sharing.
I wouldn't think a senior member on here would say "it's all for free" as it isn't unless you get somone to give you a share to there server.
Buying a VIP on here will not get you a share.

I get this expired error all the time but my cards work ok, I've put it down to a oscam glitch, as long as your card works I wouldn't worry too much

It sounds like your dish is not aligned up correctly, line the dish up to Thor 1w, once you have a good signal on that and your tuner is set to usals and the correct long and latitude details entered then it should work ok, that's how I did mine. And make sure you have an upto date channel list for example catseye for all sats which you can download straight to your box from the linuxsat addon

    I have 28e 19e 13e
My 28e cable runs straight to the solo2 from my motor on the dish and tuner A is set to usals which moves the dish when I change sats
My other cable which is tuner B runs to a switch then to my other two lnb 13 and 19e so when I watch these sats it switches channels without moving the dish, it sounds like your trying to move the dish through a switch which I don't think will work although someone correct me if I,m wrong

Surely if you moved the dish, at least 2 of those lnb's are out of position ??

Of course they are if I want to watch something on another sat other than 28e 13e and 19e and the dish as moved to this sat then your other boxes in the house can only watch tv on whichever sat your dish is pointing at. If you want to watch two different sats at the same time the easiest thing to do is have two dishes

I have 3 lnbs on a switch on my motorized set up, peeps do this as they don't like waiting the second or two that it takes to change sats when channel surfing but you only really need one

Ps have you got your longitude and latitude set to your position, if not the dish will not move to the correct position

you can set oscam to "drop duplicate connections" for if they connect on 2 diff ip addys in config, if they connect two boxes on the same network a red 2 appears at the side of the users name.

you can put a cron command in to back your oscam configs up everynight

to back my whole system up i downloaded the "Hirens Boot DVD" restored edition and used clone to back my drive up

    this worked for me

after many hrs, I've done it, that was driving me nuts, and for anyone that don't know how to enable the root account, so you can login as root on WinSCP
    :~# sudo passwd -u root
    :~# sudo passwd root
    :~# su
    :~# nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config
    edit line 28 from...
    PermitRootLogin without-password
    to
    PermitRootLogin yes
Save changes and exit...Then restart SSH...
    :~# service ssh restart

Now you can login via SFTP as root.
once you've done what you want to do, change the config back to original
