I use 10077 it's old but rock solid, you can pick which version you want through simple build, just follow that tut and you'l not go far wrong
have you installed oscam through simple build. ubuntu server does not come with it installed

I think most common is to go for 80cm on motorized, I have 80 and have no probs
Try a diff version of oscam
a 120 would be far too big for what i want it cosy, i,m going for 1m. a bit of porn in HD is good enough for me haha
nice one digi cheers pal, when im in other room and the wifes watching tv i cannot move the dish but if a 1m cures that then thats the one for me, to be honest i cannot be bothered to move the dish anyway what a pain that is waiting 5 seconds when your channel hopping
thanks again
monki
cheers for the quick answers lads, ive got an 80cm and pick it up easily, but mines at the back of the house so its not unsightly.
while were on the subject, my 80cm dish is motorised but use 16e and 13e from it when its parked at 28e in the man cave, now my signal is booming on 16e no probs whatsoever but i think 13e is just on the fringe of the signal as i get low signal strength and alot of tuned failed. what sort of gains would i get if i swapped my dish to a 1m i know it would be better but would it still be on the fringe of getting a good signal? just wondering if it would be worth swapping it
hello lads
i,m putting a static 60cm dish on 28e up for my brother in law and was going to run another Lnb for 16e and was just wondering will he get enough signal from that size of dish? he does not want an 80cm as its on the front of their house, just thought id ask before going up and down ladder a dozen times.
if it is good enough would i be better running the 28e off a switch and the 16e direct as its only a twin tuner
(does using a switch dull the signal)
monki
im pretty sure you can upto a 1m dish without any problems like i have ive never heard of this before i would see if this was in the deeds or in writing somewhere is the an option to ground mount it low down bottom of the garden ect ive done that in the past with no problems
my niece as just bought a new house and has been told told they cannot have any dish mounted on the building whatsoever by the house builders, although id just put one up and see how it goes
glad you sorted it pal
Sorry pal my mistake it was the
"i noticed recently HD channels from the other sports provider (who offer European games midweek) has dropped off and no longer clear"
that made me think it was somthing else
if your using a payserver then its prob the server thats overloaded, if its worked ok for the last 2yrs i doubt its oscam but try the latest version see if it helps, i,m using an old 10096 without a prob with my own cards
If I wanted to update my oscam to a newer edition, would I have to go through the simple build root or could I just download oscam from the site and just delete the old and replace it with the new in the oscam directory, would this not work?
i dont think it does it any harm to reboot it everyday and give it a clear out, i reboot mine every other day
i think catseye does an "all sats" bouquet
if you have the homehub 4/5 you can put your dns addy into it and will auto change your dns addy when the router changes ip
go into your router
advanced settings/broadband/dynamic dns
put your details in and jobs a good un
Cheers pal I think I'll give it a miss
