Sounds right in what your doing.
Try rebooting receiver and restarting oscam in softcam manager.
Then enter receiver's ip into a browser followed by port 8888 (192.168.x.xx:8888)

Tried that... I've just noticed when I start oscam in softcam manager it loads but it's not showing as active, basically it doesn't look like its starting. Colud this be why?

Sorry guys, can somebody let me know if I'm going about this the right way. This is what I have done so far...

I've downloaded oscam 1.20.r9059 from openvix.co.uk and installed by placing into my temp folder and doing a manual install.

Then I've downloaded the config files from an earlier post in this thread and placed all files into etc/tuxbox/config (I havent edited anything at all yet)

I've then started oscam from the softcam manager and tried to log in using my browser, typed my IP in but all I get is the webif channel info. Then I looked at the earlier post and noticed I should be putting a port after my IP address. Looking at the config file using notepad++ it's set to 8888, I've tried my xxx.xxx.x.x:8888 and just an error page cant be found blah blah blah.

Can anybody help as I got a feeling I'm way off the mark with what I'm doing.

i run mine on a solo 2 pal, once oscam is installed you can access it through your browser using your ip for your box fpor example.193.167.8.001:4000 from here you can change the configs

Sorry mate I'm completely lost now. I've installed oscam on my solo2 and it's showing in my softcam manager. I haven't done anything else - am I meant to?

If I input my IP Address into my browser I just get webif and the usual channel info.

Hi all, I'm looking at setting up a share using a solo2 with oscam as a server. I've done a bit of reading and from what I understand I need some config files. Can anybody suggest which ones I need? Is there a decent guide which might help me out? I'm looking at sharing s** uk

    Cheers

Ok so the bouquets that ABM has generated there is a bouquet called 'all channels'. These channels are all listed same as sly, 101 bbc1 etc...

My problem is that I'm not using that bouquet. I'm using a bouquet that is found in the catseye settings called 'Sly SD EPG'. Before I ran ABM my channel numbers in this bouquet started at 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. after I've run ABM my region is still not fixed and all my nicely arranged channel number have been completely rearranged to four digit numbers, bbc1 is 1053, bbc2 1054.

I've all but given up to be honest and now have to reinstall the bouquets to get my original channel numbers back. Is it just easier to ammend the bouquet in DBE before I transfer it over?

Hi mate, I've run ABM, my regions are still wrong and now all my channel numbers on my cateseye bouquets have changed from 1,2,3,4 etc to 1053, 1054, etc

    any ideas?

Try one provider at a time, see if that makes any difference...

Sorry mate I'm confused, I've just set it up as the guide suggests?

I'm using catseye settings, will running ABM sort the regions out even though I'm using catseye bouquets?

Hi all, my brother has a ***box f5s and he reckon's one of his kid's has done something to the box. He cant get any channels, not even freeview, only radio. He can access the menu's etc but no channels at all? Not been over to look as he lives quite far away

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    Yeah m8, FTP to /tmp folder first, then manual install the .ipk in image menu or paste this command into telnet and press enter;

    Code
    opkg install /tmp *.ipk

Cheers mate, how do I amend the regions to my local region?
