When you perform a scan it looks to the satellites.xml file for the transponder frequencies.. If the satellites.xml file is outdated you won`t find the missing channel if the transponder has changed..

Create your own custom satellites.xml file from HERE and add to /etc/tuxbox.. Or add an Enigma2 Channel list with Dreamset.. Or use the attached channel list and latest satellites.xml for 28.2 east..

Cheers for this. Where do I install these files on the box? If I install this channel list am I right in thinking ABM is no longer used?

    Hi all,

Every now and then when changing channel I get the 'SID in PAT error'. After searching the net and reading one or two things I've tried to sort this by completing an automatic scan and doing a fresh scan of ABM but I still seem to be getting it on a few channels. I understand that some channels are not available at all times of the day, like BBC3 starting at 7pm etc... so I understand it coming up for those reasons but I'm a little bit stumped on why its still happening?

While doing some reading I read that an up to date channel list may help but am I right in thinking that ABM will give me this anyway? If not then could somebody point me in the right direction on where I could find a channel list and how to install it? Also I read that a satellite.xml file might need to be updated but have no clue what that is.

Does anybody else have any idea why this could still be happening or how I could fix it?

    Cheers

Hey all, I'm trying to transcode from my solo2 using webif and vlc on a connection outside my home network but every time I try and connect I get this message in vlc...

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://xxxxxx.dyndns.org:8xxx/1:0:1:2848:7FE:2:11A0000:0:0:0:'. Check the log for details

I've changed my webif port number from the standard 80 and forwarded in my router settings to my solo2 IP.

I've changed my transcoding port number from the standard 8002 and forwarded on my router to my solo2 IP.

this has me completely scratching my head... can anybody help?

    Cheers

Cheers mate. So I don't enter anything onto my dyndns account other than choosing a host name?

I then type this host name into my dyndns tab on my router.

Forward the port I've chose to my solo2 IP

Then type my host name into a browser with the port number at the end and it should work?

Hey guys, is there a guide anywhere to help me set up webif to use outside my network? I've read various threads and posts around the net and not completely sure I'm going about it the right way. This is what I've done so far...

Got a dyndns account and put my solo2 IP as host name IP address.

Forwarded port 80 and port 8002 on my modem

Put my solo2 IP in my dmz setting on my modem.

I then type my dyndns host address into my browser at work and get 404 page not found.

    Where am I going wrong?

    Cheers

Hi all, I've set up auto bouquet maker to swap all SD channels to HD where possible and it's done it for every channel apart from BBC1. Does anybody know how to fix this please?

    Cheers

Hey guys, I'm having problems with channels dropping when ABM rescans every morning and believe its something to do with my hard drive I've installed.

The scan runs at 5am every morning and then when I turn my tv on, most channels have a message 'tune failed' or 'sid in pat'

To solve the problem I need to knock the box off and then re-start it. Sometimes I'm lucky and the box will reboot but usually the box gets stuck with 'starting..' so again I need to knock the box off, unplug the hard drive from the mother board and restart.

To try and solve the problem I've reformatted the hard drive to exFAT and reinstalled, the problem was still there. I unmounted and remounted - still there, the only thing I havent done so far is reflash the box.

Is this familiar to anybody? Will reflashing with the hard drive already plugged into the motherboard help?

not to alarm you but was reading ffrom threads at bottom of page for example : http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=18740&page=2
i would suggest try go back ot one of your previous backups to ensure its a software problem and not hardware

Thanks for this mate, the box is working fine without the hard drive in it so I'm guessing it was incorrectly formatted. I've just formatted it to exFAT and gonna try it again now
